I responded to an advertisement by the above mentioned company (Envisage) on Facebook offering a 14-day free trial of an anti-aging serum and an anti-aging cream.  I do not recall any mention of paying anything for this "free trial" nor do I remember seeing anything in the advertisement about returning the item if I wasn't satisfied with the product.  I was only expecting a "sample" of each product ... not a full container of each and was surprised when I opened the box to see what had been sent.  I thought they had made a mistake and intended to return the items after the holidays had passed, but there was no paperwork of any kind in the box which was sent.  No bill of sale, receipt, or anything which appeared to be a contract/agreement to make a payment of any money whatsoever.  No instructions of any kind mentioningwhen, where, or how to return the items.  There was absolutely no peperwork of any kind, just the two items in the 6"x6.5"x2" box in which they were delivered.

On 01/08/2018, I reviewed my bank account and found I had been charged $109 for one of the items and $103 for the other, along with what appeared to be contact phone numbers (listed above).  I tried calling the first phone number and was surprised to got a response.  I told the representative I did not wish to pay for the items, that they were still in the box which was sent to me, that I would happily pay the postage to return them to the company, and I wanted my money back.  She told me their policy was to refuse any return of the merchandise and they could only offer my a "percentage" of the purchase price which had been taken out of my account.  After a lengthy dicussion with this rep, she informed me the best she could do was sent my information to her superiors for review.  She stated "If you don't hear from us in twenty-four to forty-eight hours, you can try to reach us again."  That was the end of the conversation.

It is now two days later and I do not expect to hear from them.  I believe this to be a very poor way of conducting business by the Envisage Company and, due to the lack of paperwork throughout the entire interaction, I believe this to be a "scam".  The company runs an advertisement on a social media (which most users don't even think to copy down word for word for their own protection if and when it might be needed) ... the ad shows in big bold letters "FREE 14 DAY TRIAL" ... which the average person thinks is just that ... a "free" trial size of the product (not a full size bottle, box, can, etc) ... nor does the consumer note the extremely small print in the ad revealing the actual "terms of the agreement" which always seem to favor the company ... and the consumer reacts instinctively to the "FREE" offer.  Until they find out the truth. In retrospect, the consumer's lack of possessing "concrete" or "hardcopy" evidence (e.g. terms of contract, product return information, transaction receipt, etc.) which should be provided to the consumer by the selling company at the time of the "transaction" should be mandated by law preventing a company, such as in this situation, to profit from questionable and evasive advertising.  Bottom line ... I have to know what the rules are ... before I can break those rules ... and pay the price.  Companies like "Envisage" should stop advertising in misleading ways and be fair and up front with the consumer.
