Express Scripts stated that for three months worth of birthcontrol the cost would be $43.00.  Where as, the drug store charges $44.00 a month.

A script was sent to Express Scripts written by my physician for 10 month refill.  One pack of birth control pills where received in the mail today and was charged $43.00.  A call was made to express scripts to ask where the other two months are.  We were informed that because the physician did not specifically write the script stating 84 day supply only one pack was sent.  We asked why they could not send 3 months of the 10 month refill and was advised the insurance would not pay.

Asked for a supervisor who refused to call the physician to have this "written as they need".  Asked for the supervisor's supervisor.  Spoke with Alan King, I asked where does it specify on the Express Script website how or what provisions should be required in order to get the savings that is indicated.  He replied there is nothing on the website.  Asked that since this was obviously the first time they have been used why a call was not placed to the patient and or physician in order to help the patient obtain the benefit listed.  He said they do not do that, however, they do and will be charging an additional $43.00 for the other two months.  So for three months supply of birth control instead of total being charge is $43.00 it will now cost $86.00- better off to go to the regular drug store and pay 2.00 difference without the hassle.  Alan King has promised to call the physician to get this rectified only after I said the additional $43.00 would be paid.  This sounds to me like he is not going to do anything to help unless they get their money.  I had also asked for his supervisor's name, he only gave first name Nina-refused to give "personal" information, I had asked for the first intiial to her name - he refused- asked for her number and ext- he refused.

Express Scripts is not out to help the patient's but to hassle the patient rather than provide true customer service.
