EZ Moving ripoff, liars, hidden charges, terrible service, Broolyn New York

Stay away from EZ Moving! My terrible moving experience started when I had an EZ Moving estimator (Salesman) come to my apartment and assure me that my NY to Tampa, FL move would cost no more than $672.75 for 207 cubic feet at $3.25 per cube.

The day the movers came my price shot up to $1039 when I was told I had 42 more cubic feet and packing materials were $230 extra. I was so upset my stomach was churning. I wanted to tell them to leave but I was stuck because I had to vacate my apartment.

After I got down to Florida the second part of this nightmare began. It began when I received a call from the dispatch manager that the truck broke down and my stuff was back in the warehouse in NY. He told me they would have another truck pick it up the next day but they didn't get another truck until a week and a half later.

Finally when my stuff made it to Florida- it ended up being dumped in a warehouse in Miami by a trucking company called Safeway. That was when the real aggravation began. Stephon, the dispatch manager in NY was lax and reluctant to provide details about my shipment as I waited and waited for my delivery for weeks.

Finally the dispatcher told me they would guarantee my shipment for the next day. When the next day came I received a call from the driver saying that his truck broke down in Orlando and he was going to try to get another truck from Miami (5 hours away)but that never happened. Later that day I called the driver three times but his phone off and he did not return my calls.

The next day I received a called from some dispatcher in Miami who said they would deliver my stuff between at night between 6-8pm. Finally, after being on the verge of suing this company I was shocked when the door bell rang at around 10:30pm. and my stuff was delivered.

EZ Moving is a terrible company, don't use them. They also go by the name AAA-EZ Moving and are based out of Brooklyn, NY (718) 246-8000.
