Hard Drive crashed.  Sent to Fields Data Recovery in Houston who sent to St. Louis.  No communication from them unless I instigated.  Very slow response - took many voicemail and email to get response.  All calls go straight to voicemail.  Had hard drive 6 weeks.  Every two weeks tried to check on status.  Todd Taylor said I called too much, was incessant and wanted rid of me.  Hard drive could take indefinite amount of time.  Would not tell me what they did or did not do to hard drive.  Asked for supervisor but could not get past Todd Taylor.  He said go ahead and complain that no one cared.

Googled owner and emailed James Wallis in England.  He helped locate hard drive which was in England and returned it overnight mail and refunded all charges.  Sent on to next recovery company but advised it will cost more since it was opened.  Will not be surprised if Todd Taylor sabbatoged my hard drive.  Do not put anything past these people.  Looked up Fields Data Recovery + complaints.  Found many, many complaints, lawsuits, F grade by BBB.  Nothing good.  Suspect scam of payment for ordering parts then no recovery.  Hopefully, you will read this before you send your hard drive to Fields and not after.

I was also treated poorly.

I have experienced the same as many others. The only differance is the name of the individuals passing on what I call  LIP SERVICE. My email have been blocked and they will not take calls surrounding the treatment of my case and concerns. I received my drive in pieces, with an explaination that they did all these things, and they failed as they do often.

I'm not certain bi*ching about it here makes a difference either. I do not plan on stopping here though. The expansion of the business might only bring them the ability to rip off many more individuals. Regardless of their success I believe there are many more failures.

I have saved all the email exchanges between myself and the contack Eric Keck. He is a poor communicator to say the least, and very arrigant about what he does. This is not a mistake on my part that he is confident in his work, as I was able to get him off his game mentioning his misleading conversation as LIP SERVICE...

More to come.

Did you ever recover any data? I am their newest victim and should be receiving my harddrives back tomorrow. I will send it to another company but am curious if you eventually were able to have extracted the data.
