I took my Ford to Firestone on Larimore Rd on November 24th for state inspection and emissions testing.   What they told me was so unbelievable!   The technician contacted me and told me that my vehicle basically needed 1,030.53 in exhaust repairs due to multiple leaks.   He told me that there was "no" oil in my car.  Suggested Synthetic Oil change 5 quarts, totalling 132.88.   Fuel System Cleaning 94.99.   I will give them the Fuel System cleaning as this could possibly been a suggested item.

As for the other worked needed to pass inspection.  The oil issue is a total joke.  I drove the car to the shop, if there was no oil, I believe the engine would be damaged.  Not to mention there was no service engine light on stating oil was low.  The vehicle did wind up being a little over a quart low.  Not enough to say there was no oil in the car!

The exhaust, well I took the car right up to Meineke at my daughters insistence.  I showed Meineke service manager the bill and print out of the exhaust leaks Firestone had given me.   He was pretty explained that Firestone does not have the equipment to repair exhaust like they do and would have to charge more.  Yet he was quite surprised to see how much I was going to be charged.   Meineke having every opportunity to rip me off with seeing what Firestone wanted to charge me for, came back and said the total to repair my exhaust was $40.  A small leak was found that was easily repairable.

I put in a quart of oil $5.00 and Mieneke repair being $40 total $45 in repairs.   Firestone suggested repair  exhaust 1,030.53 - oil change 132.88 total 1,163.41 in repairs.

Mike the manager with Larimore, Rd.  Firestone called today.  He said that they suggested I take my car elsewhere.  NOT TRUE!  I told them I was taking it somewhere else.  The fact that it was stated that my car had NO oil was barely discussed.

Is there other options I want to make sure that this resolved.

Resolve what?  Have you paid Firestone anything?  If not, there's nothing to resolve - they were unsuccessful in ripping you off, congratulations!
