FOOTSMART Footsmart shared credit card and personal information with TLG Great Fun, a fraud company Norcross, Georgia

In April 2009, my wife order two pairs of shoes from Footsmart.  In May 2009, a monthly charge of $11.99 started appearing on our credit card statements and it was 10 months before we caught it.  The charge was from a company called TLG Great Fun.  I contacted TLG Great Fun and they stated it was the result of my wife ordering shoes from Footsmart.  We did not receive any services from TLG Great Fun and do not know what their services are supposed to provide.  I asked for a refund from TLC Great Fun but they would not confirm that they would issue a refund.

I contacted Footsmart, who say they have no association with TLC Great Fun but they confirmed that TLG Great Fun has a link on their web site.  Footsmart stated that we received a discount because of the TLG Great Fun link.  No credit card or security information was provided to TLG Great Fun by us, so it had to have come from Footsmart.

I have advised Footsmart that TLG Great Fun has, in my opinion, committed fraud with the knowing support of Footsmart and that we will no longer do any business with Footsmart.  We have no record of any discounts received, but even if true, I cannot see any rationale for Footsmart to give discounts through TLG Great Fun but not give discounts to regular repeat customers.  Anyone ordering from Footsmart must be very careful of their credit card and personal information. If there is no other source for the product, you should arrange for a one-time only credit card number that you can usually obtain from your credit card company.  Better would be not to order from Footsmart in the first place.
