Received a a threatening letter in the mail that I failed to pay a balance and failure to pay has resulted in a civil arrangement of up to $300.00 being added to my (false) unpaid FINE. The letter also stated that the Superior Court has notified the DMV to hold/suspend my driving privileges.
Can you believe that! I almost had a heart attack! The letter continues that if I fail to respond within 10 days from the date specified, the balance due, which includes a total amount of $390.00 will be recorded as JUDGEMENT (in big letters). I checked my records and found it by searching day and night and very exhausted and stressed.
But, I finally found it. The amout they needed is not even close to how much I paid. This is FAKE! DO NOT SEND THEM ANY MONEY AND DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION. Thanks and stay safe!

I know that they are junk debt buyers, but they do play dirty. Please make sure that you do not have a judgement entered against you. Check with your city courts, check your credit report, check with them via certified letter. From your report I am not sure that you received a summons or not, but in the future if you do receive a summons, make sure you answer it. Answering the summons will always make them reverse their course and drop the allegation or else have to pay.
