I received a letter from the GC Services Limited Partnership Collection Agency Division stating I had a delinquent balance with the Oklahoma Tax Commission. The letter stated "On a voluntary basis through calls and/or letters" they had attempted to resolve my delinquent account. However I received no calls or letters from the Oklahoma Tax Commission.

I was provided no tax date or identification number on which this company was trying to collect. I was given seven (7) days to resolve the matter before they took legal action. The letter further stated they were an authorized agent of the Oklahoma Tax Commission performing under the terms of the State of Oklahoma contract #6959001543. It continued to state they are empowered by the Oklahoma Tax Commission as a collection agency pursuant to section #255, 68 OS 1991 as amended September 1, 1994; and "You should take this opportunity to repay your legal obligation".

The letter also informed me that "because of interest, late charges, and OTHER charges THAT MAY VARY FROM DAY TO DAY, the amount due on the day you pay MAY be greater. Hence, if you pay the amount shown above, an adjustment MAY be necessary after we receive your check, in which event we will inform you". Two numbers were listed on this statement. I called both numbers listed on the "statement". One being an (888-417-6970) and also a "local number" (405-621-6302) which happens to be a long distance number because I don't reside in the city the "local" number is given for. The local number is for an OKCity area code, while the collection agency is sending me a letter from Houston, Texas. When I called the OKC number I received only a message stating "You have been forwarded to a mailbox system, however the person at 6302 mailbox is full"! Without pause the message then stated "Please hold while we contact an attendant". Immediately stated was "A valid attendant member has not been specified; please try your call again later". I received the exact same message at the (888) number.

I dont know about you, but I feel someone(GCSLPCAD) is being evasive. Too many times does this happen. I hope my experience will help even one (1) person. If you have had a similar experience please leave your message here too. I'm glad I did my research before paying an a$$h013!
