GEICO INSURANCE RUN AWAY FROM THEIR DECEPTIVE TACTICS AS FAST AS YOU CAN Macon, Georgia

The most deceptive, underhanded company I've ever dealt with. Their goal is obvious: avoid responsibility. Their strategy is to delay, delay, delay, until the 2 yr. statute of limitations looms near, and then the consumer has no bargaining power at all.

Here are their delay tactics, watch out for them:

1. Claim to not have received information you have sent/faxed - REPEATEDLY

2. Initially during the 1st yr., they'll be very cordial and keep frequent contact with you to give you the impression that they are 'working on' your claim

3. After repeated claims not ever receiving information, they will switch claims reps on you at some point down the road at which time the new rep professes to not "know where the documents (you repeatedly sent) are".

4. Ask for new documents...still claim to have not received them.  Incessantly stall denying receipt of information (even after certified mail is used!)

5. As the the 2 yr. statute looms near, the phony niceness will disappear, and they will talk about your claim or treatment, etc. as being "excessive".

6. They don't mind if you sue them. They have 50 experienced attorneys who handle nothing but insurance claim cases. You will hire 1 who may not specialize.

7. If an injury is involved and your Doctor agrees to participate, they will do their best to demean him/her, so MANY physicians will not open themselves up to that abuse.

My other insurance agents speak well of other companies (not their own!), but corroborate my complaints as 'typical tactics' of GEICO only.
