I was contacted by postal mail from Getty Images concerning a certain copyright violation.  Upon review of the report I noticed the screen shot of the website and the screen shot of the photo image I am supposedly have on my website.  I noticed on their screenshot of my website that it is completely different than my website.  It is not setup the same and does not have the same Logo in the top left corner.  Upon further review, I went to the page that they show me as having their image on and it appears that I do not find that image anywhere on my website.  I notified them several times by email and told them they have the wrong person.  They still claim that they have the right person even though their documentation is from a different persons website.  I am being falsely accused of this and I am planning on finding a lawyer to file a lawsuit against them for falsely accusing me and attempting to defraud me of the outrageous amount they are asking to buy a license.

Getty Images Inc Getty IMages Getty Images mailed the 2 letters to a non-existent address in Austin, TX so I never received the letters. On 08/27/13 I received a letter from their attorney McCormack demanding payment of $1,876.and threatening $150,000.000 in damages. When I contacted McCormack to follow up, they emailed me a copy of the two letters that had been mailed to a non-existent address in Austin back in 01/2012. I am a licensed Realtor and my mailing address is a public record. Getty Images not only mailed me the 2 letters to a non-existent address but they sent them via regular mail as opposed to certified mail. I have consulted with an attorney and will be retaining legal counsel to protect myself from this scan and harassment.
