Getty Images practices are legalized extortion, Internet

Don't use Getty Images for any of your photos on your website.  If you google their name and the word extortion, you will find several stories like mine. They claim that I had two thumbnail sized images on my website on one of my pages that is hardly ever viewed. They claim that I owed them about $1000 for each of those images. I pay only about $3 for those kind of images.

They claim that I have to pay and yet they have yet to show me proof those images were not part of one of my graphic software packages that I used to design my site. And, because the site was built over 6 years ago, I have no record to show where they came from.  In short, just don't use Getty.
