Getty Images iStock images Avoid using stocks from these crooks Internet

I am a graphic designer and used to use iStock for all of my stock photo needs. They had fair prices and were great to deal with. And then - they merged or were bought out by Getty Images. Getty is the most aggressive, difficult, expensive, mean-spririted stock company I have ever dealt with.  One of my clients reposted a photo on his blog that he got from another blog. Apparently it was a Getty stock, but he didn't know it. They threatened legal action and harassed him until he finally ended up paying thier extortionist attorneys almost $1,500!!

Since, I refuse to use Getty or iStock. Shutterstock is my favorite. Dreamstime isn't bad, although they have gotten pretty expensive too. There are others - use any of them - but don't use iStock or Getty (same company now) - if you don't use their image exactly as they think you should - they will come after you will full guns.
