Today I recieved a letter from getty images Seattle WA, with an settlement damand notice to pay immediately $965.00 USD for the use of a image that was on my website. This website was done for me by an web and graphic design high school student, for a school project in 2009. To the students knowledge, and terms and use from Photobucket, the images on there are free to use, copy etc, if the owner of the photos, blocks them and makes them private. There will be no public use or copying of them. No one can view or use them, unless the owner of the photo ok's the viewing of them on photobucket, it is kind of like facebook Privacy settings, you can't get in unless they let you in or you put it out there. I got together with the student today and we could no longer find the image on photobucket. We could not find this photo anywhere on any of the search engines. It just disappeared.  The only way we found the image was by typing in the number (AB02290)  that Getty images assigned to it. You can't even get this photo from Michael Goldmans website. Once we found the image, it had the imprinted on it Getty Images,  the photo the student got off of photobucket did not have that printed on it. Also when you type the name Michael Goldman, in Getty Images website search bar,  they have no Michael Goldman they have a collection of Michael Goodman. When you type AB02290 it comes right up with getty images and Michael Goldman Taxi collection. Something not right here.
