GLDS Service Complaints Scam or Ripoff Caution!! Plano Texas

GLDS specialize in marketing services. Sales person claims that I should land a job in about 30 days in Health Care Finance. GLDS promised to find a job, but they only e-mail job updates that are not even related to my field. BE WARNED since GLDS makes you sign a form that waives them of stated liabilities. For example, if they state that they can market and land you a job in 30 days, the form that they make you sign states that by signing, you understand that the agents representing the company can say what they want, but are not responsible for any future results.

The materials given by GLDS are materials publicly available on different job search engines. The job tips are listed on Careerbuilder.

After my 90th-100th day, I requested a refund due to no results from GLDS's marketing. The Don King claimed that GLDS markets "just over 300 resumes per week. That would put us at over 4800" after 90 days. All THAT MARKETING AND NOT A SINGLE CALL FROM RECRUITERS! From that, is GLDS a MARKETING expert? I request a refund. Mr. King states, "If you want us to release you, we can offer a refund of our profit on you. That would be $125." What is this "our profit on you?" Mr. King wrote, "Please sign the attached release and FAX it to my office (972-516-3710). Upon receipt, I will issue the refund check.

I questioned the service guarantee's validity.
"If you are not satisfied with the marketing materials and research provided to you in our launch meeting, we will refund you deposit in full and no money will be owed to us."

Response from agent:
The guarantee has two components:

1. We will not stop the marketing until the position is found.
2. If you are not satisfied at the conclusion of the launch meeting, you would not make the 2nd payment and the initial deposit is refunded on the spot.

Since you elected to proceed with the program and made the 2nd payment, #2 is no longer applicable. #1 is still in effect.

BE WARNED that the literature that you sign is not TRANSPARENT. GLDS have experiences in covering itself. I am merely writing to educate others who have not had the experience, especially those who have lost their jobs and feel that they have no alternative paths due to financial obligations. I am not stating that GLDS is a bad service, but my experience has been lacking. I paid $695 for a folder of material publicly available. I do my 10-day updates per GLDS's guidelines. What I receive as responses are:
1)"We can get the resume out there but we cannot force the employers to call."
2)"As slow as things are, your chances are going to be much better staying with us. I cannot tell you how much things are slowing down out there."

That is after GLDS having marketing me to over 4800 recruiters.
I am a bit disappointed, but I will take the $125. Otherwise, it would be COMPLETE AND TOTAL lost cause.
