Global Vantage Has sensitive information trying to confirm. Internet

I was called by a representative of Global Vantage at my residence over a year ago. When I answered the phone they recited my name and asked me if that was who I was. I said yes and they proceeded to recite my social security number and asked me to confirm it.

Well to say that red flags went up would be an understatement. I asked the rep what this call was regarding. He responded with his British-Indian Accent and told me that I needed to confirm the number first. I told him that I couldn't confirm anything unless I knew who he was, who did he work for and why was he calling. He told me that it was in regards to a personal business matter. I told him to send me everything in writing and I hung up.

Later that week I received calls from another mysterious representative asking me to confirm personal info. I grilled him until he ended up telling me that he was from Global Vantage. I asked why were they calling me. Same reply; personal business matter. I told him I had asked for everything to be sent to me in writing and he told me that it already was. I never received any paperwork, letter, or documents from the company and I promptly hung up yet again.

Throughout the last months I've been recieving calls from them that I never pick up. The most disturbing thing is that I have received calls at my workplace now too. I don't know who these people are or how they got my info. I got a free credit report and put a notice to all the credit companies, but it seems nothing has happened as far as Identity theft. If these people were a valid business I don't think they'd be against faxing or sending me in writing whatever it is they want from me. If anyone out there knows who these bozos are please reply or email me.
