We bought a timeshare from Grand Crowne Resorts on April 14, 2009.  We told them we already owned too many timeshares.  So, they offered to take one off our hands for a $500.00 deposit towards the purchase.  The contract states that the transfer would take place within 90 days and we would not be responsbile for the 2010 maintenance fees.  We received a maintenance fee bill from the timeshare we were not suppose to own any more.  We wrote back and told them we did not own it any more.  They sent us another bill saying they were taking us to collections and we still owned it.  We were livid.  Now our great credit score will be ruined.  We have talked to Grand Crowne.  Even though none of this is our fault, they are now saying that we have to pay the 2010 maintenance fee, even though we will not have use of it and we will have to pay additional $250.00 closing costs!  Not only will we lose the $500.00 deposit we received, but an additional $250.00.  They are such crooks.  PLEASE DO NOT MAKE THE CLOSTLY MISTAKE WE MADE.  THEIR SALES PEOPLE ARE A BUNCH OF LIARS AND WILL TELL YOU ANYTHING TO MAKE A SALE.
