Greenpoint Credit credit life insurance ripoff Mephis Tennessee

to start off i was paying 28 dollars and 28 cents every month along with my payment to greenpoint credit for my credit life insurance for me and my husband. The insurance stated that in the case of death the mobile home would be paid for. Unfortunately in may of 2001 my husband passed away.

my daughter called and told them what happened and a lady said all i had to do was send his death certificate and everything would be taken care of. When i did that we didn't hear anything for about 3 months. Then all of a sudden they were calling demanding a payment of 576.00.

When i told them that my husband had passed they came up with some excuse saying that he wasn't on the insurance and we had to pay, but when my daughter called the lady told her that both me and my husband was on the insurance. Then they started sending claim forms to fill out wasting even more time. when we got finished with those they were still saying he wasn't on the insurance.

We paid for the 3 months to keep our mobile home. Although we have all the receipts from where the bill was caught up they are still saying we are behind or we're paying partial payments of 223.00 when i have reciepts of me paying 260.00 every month.

And on top of everything they are still taking out 28.28 for credit life insurance.

Is it going to be the same thing in the unfortunate event that i pass? What will my kids do?
