My problem is with Nelly (don't know her first name, but claims to be from Bolivia) in particular and with the Harrison Street Hair Cuttery establishment in general.

I have frequented this salon nearly ten times in total and every time I get my haircut there, the employees are pushy and rude. They harrass me and do not cut my hair as I ask. The location is very convenient, so I feel as though my choices are limited. Nelly, a stylist I have requested four times, has repeatedly mishandled me as a client and cut my hair to specifications other than what was asked. For example, I simply asked for a "high and tight with a three (3/8 inch) clipper attachment shave as well as a finger length on top scissor cut." Furthermore, I specifically requested, "Please do not cut my sideburns' length."

Those requirements seemed too difficult for Nelly, as she proceeded to lop off my burns and when I reminded her I did not want my sideburns cut, she replied "Just a little bit." I demanded, "No, not a little bit. I don't want my sideburns cut at all!" That was the third time I had asked Nelly not to cut my sideburns and the third time she proceeded to cut them despite of my requests.

I am fumed at this establishment not only for the incompetence of its employees, but for their inappropriate dealings with customers. I have felt harried and insulted every time I have entered this place. If it weren't for the convenience and price, I'd never had gone back after the first experience.

This establishment will never receive my business again -especially considering the fact that management just allowed me to walk right out in the middle of a botched cut without even remotely attempting to reconcile the situation. Eating establishments seem intent on making sure that the food is just right, but salons, from what I've seen, just do not offer the same level of customer service. In fact, if the Hair Cuttery is at all representative, these establishments are in the business of offering humiliation and disservice.

Any barbors

AUTHOR: Nancy - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, September 04, 2008

Aren't there any barbors in Arlington? IF you are so unhappy, then why keep going back, that is stupid. Next time go to a barbor.

Something sounds fishy ...

AUTHOR: Peter - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, September 03, 2008

If you've had such bad experiences with this salon, why have you continued to go back 10 times?

And, if you're so unhappy with this particular stylist, why did you specifically REQUEST her 4 times?

#1 UPDATE Employee

hair cuttery

AUTHOR: Chrissy - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, September 03, 2008

I am an employee at hair cuttery and am fairly new to the world of men haicuts. asd a whole, we are not taught EVERY STYLE, and the way to do them in hair school. A high and tight is an aquired skill. not every one is good at doing these and if u have been to her before and each time she has done it, it sucked, stop asking for her. furthermore, a barber shop might be better equiped at handling your needs. As stylists we work hard to provide a service, and as a stylist that is not proficient in many areas, i know what you may have been through. when i first started working at hair cuttery, i was taught to do certain things on actual clients. i know this might sound bad, but its actually the best way to learn. on a mannequin, its a hard solid object, so maybe she is still learning. And if you keep going back, you obviously like hair cuttery, and we apreciate your recurring business.
