I financed my furniture through Haverty's and they ruined me! They were consistently late sending bills- I had to frequently call them. They would then have the nerve to report me as late, charge fines and put on my credit report. They are so unprofessional a few times I received a HAND WRITTEN bill in a HAND WRITTEN envelope!! It's unreal. Now I have all these late payments on my credit report.
I have no idea how this company survives- the complete ineptitude of these people will certainly destroy the place. I can only pray.
I should note the furniture was great- in fact I've seen some there I wanted recenlty however, I will never buy another thing from these morons.

I read your complaint about how Haverty's has ruined your credit because they mailed your bill late.
Haverty's did not ruin your credit, you did. REGARDLESS if you receive a bill in the mail or not --- you know you still owe for the purchse you made.
Consumers need to be responsible and stopped blaming everyone else for their credit problems. If you did not receive your bill in the mail when you were suppose to - "Call" the credit card company "Ask" for the account # and mailing address. Then you can "simply" mail your payment in on time. You can "keep" the account # and address handy, in case you need it again in the future.
Now - how hard is that?
