I purchased a 32" Toshiba TV from HH Gregg in Columbia, SC in April 2006. 7 months later the TV went out. When we contacted HH Gregg about the situation it took 5 days before a service tech came in and took our TV.

It now has been over 3 weeks and we have yet to have our TV repaired. When I called HH Gregg the store seems disinterested. I then called their corporate office where I was surprised as to how rude they treated me. I requested the reg. mgr. to please return my call.

A regional mgr. attempted to call me today but I missed his call. I called him back to the number he provided and left a message requesting a call back. Someone by the name of Leah called me and said their was nothing the reg. mgr. would or could do and she refused to have the reg. mgr. return my call. When I asked for a name of another supervisor she refused to provide any names or phone numbers and her suggestion was to write HH Gregg about my concerns.

I sent HH Gregg an email and the Reg. Mgr. did return my call and seemed polite however their remains the issue of note knowing when my TV will actually be fixed.

According to the repair place, the repair costs for this 7 month old TV are nearly 75% of what we paid for the TV. HH Gregg states I have to wait for my TV to be repaired and I have yet to know when the repairs will be completed.

At this point I strongly urge anyone considering a purchase from HH Gregg to think hard before making the purchase especially if they are looking for any customer service AFTER the purchase.

I will admit the field personnel (store management and reg. manaagement) seemed to be more helpful HOWEVER the corporate people I've spoke to over the phone the last couple days need to be trained on customer service as they were not helpful and very rude.

If this company wants to succeed they need to seriously look at the customer service factor and begin to appreciate their customers and remember it's their customers that have gotten them to where they are today. Unless they realize the importance of improving their customer service it will be to their demise.

Our repaired tv was delivered on 12/23/06 just in time for Christmas. All I can say is the repair place & delivery service were very helpful. I feel the only way we were to get our set fixed and back within the past weeks of frustrating calls to HHGregg was due to the continued contact by me to their corp. office and dealing directly with their regional and store personnel. Unfortunately the rude behavior from their corp. office has made my decision not to recommend HHGregg to anyone without their knowledge of what I had to deal with in having our tv repaired. HHGregg's corp. office were just down right rude. Everyone else I dealt with seemed to show some compassion for my concerns as to why it was taking so long for our set to be repaired. I'm just happy this is over.

Update to orig. entry. Have been contacted twice by HH Gregg reg. mgr., and also now from the manufacturer, Toshiba and also the local repair place. Parts to repair my set have now been FedEx'd and we've been told our set may be fixed by weeks end. Will update on progress if this holds true. My suggestion to anyone with problems concerning HH Gregg is to call their corp. office, visit your store and speak with the managers. Obtain as many names and phone numbers as possible and continue to call until some satisfaction is received. Once again, the personnel in the corp. office were very rude and not customer service geared. At this point we're happy we may have this issue resolved however it has been a very frustrating experience.
