Hollywood Video Discrimination cheated employees and screwed the customers even more Kenhorst Pennsylvania

I would like to make it known how Hollywood Video treats their loyal customers and employee's. Here is my Story. It's worth reading..

My mother and I had be outstanding customers of the Hollywood Video Store in since they opened up,which has been quite a few years. I use to enjoy going there because the employee's were so nice and I actually enjoyed going there get videos. Then one day everything changed. Apparently new management had taken over and new policies were put into affect.Theses policies were made in NO concideration for disabled customers. I had my own personal account because I am a grown independant woman. The same goes for my Mother.

However the two of us are disabled. So we made the cards accessable for each of us to use in case one of was ill at the time.This waywe could help each other when needed. It had been this way for many years. One day I went to get video's for my Mother because there is no handicap accessability at this store.She could never have gotten her wheel chair in the doors because they open outwards and are not automatic.

The Store is very close cornered and there is no way someone could get through there without knocking things over and becomming embarassed.On this day I was useing my mothers card(which I've had access to for years)I was told i had to cancel one of my accounts. So in other words either my Mother or I would have to lose our independance.(please think about this..we are not talking about a married couple here,It is two grown independant people)I came home from hearing this very upset.How could they make this policy up for two disabled people who have been excellent customers with them for years!Through my phone calls i managed to get things straightened out with a very nice girl at the Hollywood comment line.(1-8SPEAK-TO-US (1-877-325-8687)

She then corrected the situation and also gave me a free rental for the aggrivation the girls that use to be so nice gave me that day.So about 10 minutes later i went back down to get the movies i had to put back due to this mess and also collect my free rental.Only to find that someone had taken it upon herself to over ride the set up that was just made for me through talking with Hollywood video.So I left the store again.

I made another phone call to Hollywood telling them what had just happened for a second time.I spoke with a very nice young man. He then went to his manager and explained the situation.When he returned to the phone he told me that everything was ok and straightened out again,for the second time.So i went to the Video Store again.This time everything went through but i could sence major attitude on the girl in the store as she kept looking to the back room where the manager was on duty.

Personally I think the poor girl was job scared because the manager was watching her.After that day i choseto stay away from Hollywood Video for a while just let things smooth over because I know the manager on duty was angry about this whole thing.I have seen the way this manager can be with her employee's on occasion and sometimes it's not very pleasant.She can tend to be very overbearing at times.Well, just recently i recieved some coupons from Hollywood Video so i thought ok what the heck i'll take another shot at it.

Everything seemed to go well untill I got up the counter and I was informed that my account had been closed without my permission or notification.I had no outstanding fee's or anything.I now have to depend on useing my Mother's card to access any movies.(remember this is my mom,not a husband or anything of that nature)I was also informed that THE PEOPLE WHO WERE TRYING TO DO THE RIGHT THING AND HELP OUT DISABLED PEOPLE WERE FIRED FROM THEIR JOBS!!!HOLLYWOOD VIDEO ACCTUALLY FIRED PEOPLE FOR TRYING TO DO THE RIGHT THING!THE EXCUSE WAS THAT THEY WENT AGAINST A POLICY.Since when do fire someone on the spot for something like that?

From what I'm told they didn't even get a warning.I CAN ONLY REFLECT THIS UNJUSTICE BACK TO ONE PERSON.THE MANAGER AT HOLLYWOOD VIDEO STORE IN KENHORST.I HAVE NOW CANCELED ALL ACCOUNTS WITH THEM OUT OF RESPECT FOR THOSE INDIVIDUALS THAT WERE FIRED UNJUSTLY.So if your out there and reading this please do not feel bad and keep your head high.

Because you were trying to help, not hinder.You were doing the right thing.Most people don't know what that means anymore these days.Thank you and I'm so sorry that you had to lose your job over ignorance and discrimination.Do not let careless people change your attitude.
