Hotels.com billed my credit card $159 for a one-night room rental. Upon checking out of the hotel, I received a receipt stating the rate including tax was $105. I understand Hotels.com charging something on top of the hotel's fee, but NOT 1/3rd! I will never use Hotels.com again. Beware, and phone the hotel you're booking to see that Hotels.com is not significantly overcharging you!

When booking through Hotels.com your reservation is pre-paid, you receive an Email conformation which is the only form of receipt you receive, The only time you would get a receipt from the hotel is if you had any incidentals or room charges. Our prices are discounted off the hotels rack rate and therefore couldn't have been 50 dollars more expensive than the hotels rate. If the hotel tried to charge you and extra $105 I would be furious, but with the Hotel not our company.
