Hotwire.com Classic Bait and Switch Portland Internet

I reserved a hotel night through this website for an offer which specified that the hotel was a three star hotel near La Canterra in San Antonio similar to a Hilton Garden Inn. When I received the information for the booking it stated Hotel San Antonio. This hotel was not listed on any of the major travel websites. I actually had to Google the address to find a website that displayed the hotel which was listed as a 2 1/2 star hotel. From the pictures it was a secondhand Holiday Inn Express. It takes a lot for a hotel to lose its franchise. I contacted Hotwire and received no response although it is clearly a case of false advertising. How is is fair to auction a hotel that isn't even interested enough in its business to market itself legitimately? The hotel instead relies on shady backdoor deals to increase its bottom line. The expectation is that the customer will not stay at the hotel and never have their money refunded
