My husband and I are moving across country and were looking for homes on craigslist.com, which I am generally wary of. We found a home that we liked and contacted the number provided. We were connected to HR National, and the service was explained to us. We were told that the home we wanted was no longer available, but that many other homes were available in the area we were looking. We could sign up for the website for $1.95 for seven days, provided we cancel the service before the seven days were up. Otherwise, the service is $49.95 per month.

I signed up on January 12, 2009. I checked the website, and it was terrible. There were no pictures on the site, and the information was mediocre at best. I canceled the service January 16, 2009, and received an email confirmation. Since signing up, my bank account has been charged as follows:

January 14 - $1.95
January 15 - $1.95
January 15 (again) - $1.95
January 16 - $1.95
*I canceled the service*
January 23 - $49.95
January 26 - $49.95
January 30 - $1.00
January 30 (again) - $49.95

I have called customer service numerous times. The website provides this number: 888.849.9965, but I was emailed this number: 877-572-3883

Customer service has promised my money returned, but each time I call it seems they charge me again! I have spoken to the floor supervisor and have been argued with by the customer service personnel. I was told just today that they only charged me $1.95 and that my bank must be mistakenly charging me! Then I was told by the supervisor the charges were probably from "technical difficulties". I have filed a report with the Better Business Bureau and my bank is currently investigating this company.

PLEASE stay away from anything to do with HR National. My husband and I are very internet savvy and aware of scams. I was wary at first but the HR National website seems legitimate. It is quite a sophisticated scam.
