Last month I received a bill totaling about$137.00 for about four phone calls (to Diego Garcia) charged by ILD telecommunications. This bill was included with my SBC phone bill. Luckily I discovered this site and to my very surprise, I found a report by someone who was also billed for calls to Diego Garcia with a 6 digit number listed next to it.

I called the 800 number listed on the bill and I received an operator who told me that someone had used my internet connection to make these calls. She then told me that Diego Garcia was an island located in the middle of the Pacific Ocean (true)and these calls were made for a dating service. To HER surprise, I told her that there was NO such way possible and that I knew all about ILD and their ripoff "company" and that they were all over the internet for their schemes. SHe apologized, saying that their computer system was down at one point and that's how these bills were being sent out. She told me to send it to the ild office and write
