he was suppose to remodel a rental property which he was suppose to finish in 10 days, he told me he never missed a deadline, had agreed on a price, gave him money for 3 new large windows, sliding glass door and some start off supplies, he took money gave me 2 old windows with rust that didn't fit, while i was gone he stole all the supplies about 400 - 500 worth of materials to include drapes, rods, electrical materials, plumbing materials, tile , doors, door knobs, etc etc. it has now been over a month and it is still not finished, he took out 2 breakers and put them all on another 15 amp breaker almost causing my home to catch fire, he put 3 holes in the wall with receptacles that were live just hanging out from the wall with 5 children under 6 years old. left garbage, and ALOT of unfinished work that needed to be done. and was asking for more money???? i had to go out and it cost me over a $1000.00 re replace the supplies he stole, and will cost me another $$$ to replace sliding glass door i never received, and it cost me more money to get a licensed electrician to undo the damage he did to the electrical box, i had to hire people to finish what he didn't, almost lost my new tenants, and still waiting on an inspection to see if they will be able to stay. what should have cost me 6K has now cost over 12K. he is a liar, a their and a scam artist. beware beware beware

you failed to mention that the 10 days turned into over a month, and you told me you never miss a date.   you didnt have anyone there as a crew you had no labor, just yourself and it took you over 10 days to do a bathroom......  you were always gone, on the phone outside etc.   I paid for windows and doors and you gave me old rusted windows that didnt even fit, and no door and i gave you $900.00 for that.

I told you from the beginning i only had 1200.00 to work with and you agreed to it,  i thought you were going to have help,  but to pay you for wasted time... oh no sorry.

you brought in a so called electrician,,,, put holes in the walls, with exposed wires,  took the breakers put 3 poles into one, and nothing worked, you sabatoged the place and i am lucky it didnt have fire.  with 5 small children living lthere.

even the renters complained that you stayed there all day and they had to feed you sometimes till 11pm,,, and they found you sleeping in one of the spare bedrooms... because you are homeless.

you can talk and talk all you want but bottom line i got screwed over with you time and time again and it cost me more money to have someone else come in and correct your mistakes.

had to eventually hire someone to put in a new electrical box because your electrician fried my box... that was another cost of
$1200.00.... the moral of the story is never deal with anyone unless they are licensed.....  and by the way you are not licensed and bonded your old cards say you are but i called and you are not licensed and bonded and insured in the state of arizona.

you are a scammer,   beware all

#1 REBUTTAL Owner of company

Fabricated

AUTHOR: Corey - (USA)

POSTED: Thursday, October 01, 2015

Lets start at the beginning of this project and what REALLY transpired.  I recieved a phone call that a friend of a friend had an aunt named Diana that had a rental property that was in need of a remodel because the former tenants had "trashed" the place and had not paid rent for 3 months. When we arrived at the property with Diana and did a walk through there was some damage to the walls and flooring, nothing to extreme,  however the previous tenants had left a considerable amount of trash, food, dirty dishes, broken furniture, clothing and car parts all through the house, it was filthy and the smell of dirty diapers was extremely heavy. It was clear Diana was more than shocked. In all honesty I have seen and dealt with worse.

Side Note: I did not ask for any money upfront on this project

Diana had said she was on a budget of $6,000 and had already factored in tile, a new A/C unit and Kitchen Cabinets, so I would not be responsible for the purchase of thos items. We would only be responsible for tile install and cabinet install and the A/C unit was already contracted to be installed by Diana's own HVAC guy at which point Diana preceeded to tell me how much she had been ripped off in the past and most recently by a guy that she handed  $2,000 to for an A/C unit that took her money and never returned, I asked her for his name and I was able to track him down and was able to get a meeting set up with him to get her money back. When I told her I found him and had set up a meeting well all of a sudden she said that she had recieved a call from his assistant and his father and they were going to complete the job which was on another one of her rentals so I dropped it. So as for this project I told her the remodel could be done for $6,000 but it would take some creative mind sets to do so, she also stated that she had about 10 days and it had to pass a section 8 inspection. So we made the agreement that I would run the project for $6,000 and a 10 day schedule. We also agreed on what scopes of work had to be completed. Drywall repairs, paint, tile install, cabinet install and frame up a new 8' wall to make a 5th bedroom and frame in a closet, also 2 new surrounds, one in each shower, 3 interior door replacements and the demo of a living room wall to open up the space between the kitchen and living room. The bathrooms and hall would also recieve new light fixtures and new plugs, plates and switches through out.

So we were all in agreement. The next day we were going to get started and when I spoke to Diana, she asked if we could also remove the popcorn texture from the ceiling and I agreed , I also told her for an additional $900 we could install 3 new windows and a standard sliding glass door because the exsisting windows were single pane and not energy efficent and if she was having a new A/C unit installed it would be a good idea to upgrade the windows, she agreed and told her  I was also ordering a dumpster for all the trash and furniture inside and she stopped me and said that she wanted to put all the stuff in the backyeard in a pile just in case the former tenants wanted anything. (Really??) they trashed the place and didnt pay for 3 months but yet all their trash was to be saved just in case. I said okay and myself and 2 guys worked worked 12 hours cleaning out this house and removing the popcorn texture. We then began to remove the old vinyl flooring to prep the floor for ceramic tile and she said she didnt want to peel up that old vinyl flooring that she had laid tile over vinyl before, I expressed my concerns but against my wishes we began the ceramic install over vinyl. At this time her niece (25) showed up and made it very clear she was running this job and had brought her boyfriend and his friend who just got released from prison. Not wanting to get between family I went along with this.

Diana gave me $900 to get some materials: Paint, Drywall mud, grout, door hardware, plates, plugs and switches, etc. Both bathrooms also needed new vanities and here is what I meant by some creative mind sets: on clearance at Home Depot I was able to get a $250 bathroom vanity and sink for $40, 3 recessed can lights for $22, I found 3 six panel interor doors for $15 each and interior light fixtures for bathrooms, hallway, and kitchen all for $56, so this first materials run I spent just over $230. I also ordered and paid for the new windows. Without consulting me Diana started buying things for the project that we had not previously agreed upon, she bought all new intreior doors at $50 a piece (9) doors, curtains and curtain rods, different paint, tools for her niece and boyfriend, paint brushes, different closet doors, hardware for all the doors she bought, toilets that I had previouly purchased and   Diana gave $1,000 to her niece to get cabinets and after 2 days of her niece stalling admitted she blew the money at the casino and another $200 on drugs(which her niece was just recently arrested for). All of this slowed progress. I also want to point out the electrical in this house was a mess with burned up breakers and overloaded breakers which we fixed. Diana brought in a friend to do some electrical that ended up wiring outlets backwards but paid them $600, all without consulting me. Towards the end of the project I handed over all reciepts that totaled $1,600 of which she only gave me $900. The section 8 inspection passed and she had the people move into the house before all work was done and she did this because she said she wanted to start collecting rent asap, yes there was exposed wires but the house was not ready for tenants yet but she moved them in anyway and went as far as spending $300 on groceries for them because she felt for them. Diana did not let me or my team do what she hired us to do, she had her niece in a back bedroom laying tile with no prior experience and laid the whole floor without spacers or proper thin set mix. Had her own daughter try to do painting.

As soon as the new tenants were occuping the house Diana took off to Vegas for 2 weeks and left us to finish the job at which time I billed her for the balance of the reciepts and an addintional $2,500 for labor. She then accused me of stealing the receipts I turned in from her niece. I told her to look at those receipts they all contain MY EIN NUMBER, something her niece would not have or know how to use it at checkout to get tax exempt. Then was accused of stealing all kinds of other stuff when I called her out on the receipts. Bottom line is I have all documentation in my daily reports and I also have copies of all original reciepts to back up myself and the job we did. The only person that stole anything was Diana's niece Veronica, including one of our tool boxes and several power tools. Diana over spent and purchased materials she did not need to and constantly changed things. The ripoff report should be about herself and her grand daughter. I have all my documentation. What documentation do you have Diana? NONE. Diana has flat out lied in an attempt to avoid paying us. We did this job to help her out and all I wanted was material covered and my guys compensated for thier labor, but instead we got burned. Friends or friends of friends I will trust no ones word after this.

Side Note: The windows were installed, they were dirty not damaged. The sliding glass door was not installed due to lack of payment from Diana.
