Jackson Hewitt Lisa General Manager Westnedge office aside the Preparer location gull road DId not file our taxes correctly Federal and city. And refused to take responsibility. Kalamazoo Michigan

We filed taxes with Jackson Hewitt our preparer was told our exact living experience. She filed our taxes telling our family that he "just met the cutoff" to claim the kids as dependants. And file head of household and recieve the child tax credit.  Telling us we would recieve 9,000 back on taxes. We filed Federal State and City Taxes.  Months go by and we hear nothing we make several calls to the office wich refer us to Lisa the general manager. Nobody can ever give us any ionformation nor will Lisa return any of our calls or meet us oin the office. Months go by again we continue to call and check in tinternet to see that we cannot provide any onformation on this account.  I call the city and they tell us they never recieved our W's come to find out our taxes were never sent in. And once they were no W2's were not included I finally get in contact with Lisa from Jackson Hewitt she explains federal looses W2'S all the time. And she will fax them in.

Months go by I call the city to find out they were never faxed I had to send them myself for my credit. This whole time No federal no  state either. Reps from Jackson Hewitt just say everyone is being nreviewed this year for Child tax credit. Under later investigation and hours upon hours of phone call to the federal government. We are told we dont meet requirements for him to claim the kids as dependants he was not in the home more than 6 months.  We will not be recieving our taxes. And that the preparer should have known this with the specific requirements and emphasis we are putting into this for this tax year. We recieved $780 out of the 9000.00 that our family prepared for. Which Jackson Hewitt took $440 of for the filing fee.  They would never admit reposinsilility and said they take specific notes on what they prepare. Seems funny when we never even recieved a copy of any papers filed with state city or federal. We had nothing. In the meantime as we are not married I filed my taxes early on after we did his I could not claim our children as we had him claim them not knowing what was to come.

Months go by and i recieve notice I will not be getting taxes back as I am claimed as a dependant on someone elses taxes!!!! I recieved no taxes back nor did I recieve the home heating credit which I could onyl claim myself as he claimed the kids. So I also recieved no taxes back at all!!!! They claimed me as a dpendant on his taxes knowing fully we were not married and lived seperatly for part of the year.  I have made multiple countless calls to the general manager at the westnedge office and pleeded for a call back to go over our taxes together and to take a look into it and in the least refund our filing fee. She was disrepsectful hung up on me. And then never returned  our phone calls. I also made countless trips to the office on westmedge which by this time the only office open and nobody was ever there. I did finally get a number to what was suppose to be the owner of Jackson Hewitt. Ive called evryday for 2 and a half weeks left messages everysingle day. I honeslt think this is a bogus number.  I have yet to recieve a call back from the owner. This is by far the most inexperienced preperation I have had in my entire life
