In April of 2001, I had my son, six weeks early. I had an O.K. car, but as all new mothers are, I was worried that it wouldn't be safe to transport my newborn, premature baby. So being only 19 I had not established any credit, and was eager to have reliable transportation.

I visited J.D. Byrider at about noon on a Thursday afternoon, of course I was swarmed by salesmen. The first car I test drove was a '92 Grand Am, and get this, it BROKE DOWN!! I had to walk at least a mile back to the dealership. You'd think I'd get the hint and run, but the salesmen were "so sorry," and gave me an offer I couldn't refuse... no down payment on a '96 Grand Am. They wouldn't even let me test drive that car before that incident, so I thought I was getting a deal. Boy was I wrong.

About six weeks later my dad was checking my oil and informed that antifreeze was getting in to my engine and to get it back to the dealership right away, so I did. Well of course that wasn't covered under the warranty, no big deal, I thought, so I paid for it. One month later my fuel pump went bad, which they told me was my fault, but they would cover it under the warranty anyway.

In the summer of 2002 My check engine light came on and I took it to the shop to get it checked out. They told me that nothing was wrong and that those lights are so unreliable. Being only 20, and knowing absolutely nothing about cars I believed them, and went on driving it. Not but two weeks later my engine blew, I was on the highway about six miles from where I lived, with no phone, so I walked.

They agreed to fix it and cover it under warranty. After all that I had been through, I knew it was just too good to be true. I have never been more right... after two weeks a bolt slipped out of the engine and went straight through my radiator. While driving home from a friends house that same day my car was acting really weird. It was almost like every time I touched the brakes it would just shut off, sounds weird, I know but it gets better. So after I PAY to have it towed to the shop it sits for weeks.

Finally I get my car back and everything is fine, or so I think... here it is 7 months later, and I already need a new motor. Now doesn't something sound fishy???

. We all know that cars do break. They also tend to break down at the worst possible time. Both of these things together can make the dealer/customer relationship turn bad. I would like to personally apologize for any inconvenience that you may have encountered with your vehicle. We always do our best to try to make sure the customer is happy. Sometimes our cars do break and we do our best to compensate the customer with repairs to their vehicle, in and out of warranty. Please contact us if you have any future problems.

Again, we at JD Byrider of Canton, Ohio, apologize for the inconvenience.

Thank you.
