JD Byrider and CNAC are the biggest rip offs I have ever seen. I got a 2006 Dodge Stratus with about 92,000 miles on it back in October. I was never aware of the cost of the car before I was strong armed into signing the contract. The only thing I was told was that all the cars were under $13,000 and the interest rate would have been a lilttle higher for me since I had no credit. I ended up trading my old car for $400, which kbb was $1000 so they knew what they were doing. I was told that would be my down payment well come to find out I had to pay another $200 four times to make up for the rest of the down payment. I was charged just under $13,000 and a interest rate of 24.99% bring my total cost to $22,000 for a car that was worth no more than $9000. Well I was always on time with my payments except for the last payment before my car was repoed I asked if I could bring it in on Saturday the lady said yes just be here by 5pm. Saturday came around the had already called me at noon harrassing me and than again at 3pm, which I was in the hospital. My boyfriend answered and the lady told him I better have the money there by 5pm after he explained that I was in the hospital. She said thats not our fault and if she is not here by 5 her account will be closed and sure enough it was and my car was repoed Monday night. What can I do about this. Not to mention some places on the contracted were not even dated at all by me because I was being rushed into a trap.

Nothing you described is a rip off. You suffered buyer's remorse after entering into a contract that you failed to fulfill.

didn't you buy the car in October and was just repo'd?
"I got a 2006 Dodge Stratus with about 92,000 miles on it back in October.."
"Well I was always on time with my payments except for the last payment before my car was repoed."
That would mean you made one payment on time...right?
"..her account will be closed and sure enough it was and my car was repoed Monday night."
What a surprise, late on your second payment and they repo...what a crummy company.
" I was strong armed into signing the contract.."
"..because I was being rushed into a trap."
Did you report to the authorities that you were forced to sign something against your will?
From reading your ROR, it's pretty obvious why you have to buy from a sub-prime company like J.D. Byrider.
Sorry for your troubles, but take some personal responsibility if you ever want to improve your situation.

- Did they tie you to the chair? Did they lock the office door? Did they hold your relatives hostage? Just how did they force you to sign the contract?
Well I was always on time with my payments except for the last payment before my car was repoed
- That a plus in your mind? You got the car in October, depending on exactly when you got it and if you were paying monthly or weekly. At most you would have made anywhere from 2-8 payments.
I could bring it in on Saturday the lady said yes just be here by 5pm. Saturday came around the had already called me at noon harrassing me and than again at 3pm, which I was in the hospital. My boyfriend answered and the lady told him I better have the money there by 5pm after he explained that I was in the hospital. She said thats not our fault and if she is not here by 5 her account will be closed and sure enough it was and my car was repoed Monday night
- Let's see..Saturday, Sunday, Monday..Ummm so I guess no one was able to make the payment in those days either? Not to mention that with the Saturday date you gave them you were already late.
What can I do about this
You can do a couple of things.
- Pay your past due and all of the Repo Fees to get your car back and make sure that EVERY payment is ON-TIME every time from now on.
- Don't pay the past due, let them sell the car at auction, and have them come after you for the deficiency balance.
Either way if you think this loan was horrible, just wait until you try to get another car with a Repossession on your credit report.
