J.D. MARVEL PRODUCTS INC. ripoff consumer fraud no refund enclosed and there was nothing indicating they intended to send a refund in the future Champlain New York

A few weeks ago there was an ad in our Sunday newspaper for what was called a ClearVue Super Booster Mini Dish. Since my job is sometimes down at ground level I thought this would help give me better radio or TV reception. I promptly sent a Money Order for $16.95.

Today, about 3-4 weeks later I receive a letter with their New York address on the envelope but with a Canadian postmark. It said the item was no longer available (already?) and that they were refunding my money.

There was no refund enclosed and there was nothing indicating they intended to send a refund in the future. I believe this is a flat-out ripoff and do not understand why they can't be stopped. Of course, usually when outfits like this do get caught they change their name and address and start up again.

This kind of crap makes doing an honest business difficult for everybody-sellers and consumers alike.
