Well, I guess the Kaufman "joke" was on us! We called to find status of dresses ordered (since they were paid in full) and found that they closed up shop and filed bankruptcy. Consumers know in advance when they are going to file, and I'm sure Kaufmans knew this long ago. Then took our cash, credit cards and never placed the orders. Phone disconnected etc - no means to contact them. Now what?

Contact the Attorney generals office. They have a list of people filing complaints. Also if you know the disigner of the item you ordered contact them. All of the designers are aware of what is going on and most are willing to help you get your goods.
