I took my $8000 diamond emerald gold ring to Kevin Jewelers in Palm Desert Mall to sell.  They told me it was cracked and worth only $120.00.  I believed them and said okay, but then they (two women jewelers) went into a huddle, came back and said that they made a mistake about the gold.  It was not as good as they thought.

Now they said they would only pay me $90.00 for the ring.

I said I wanted to get a second opinion and left.  I went to Ex Pxxxx (((REDACTED)))  Jewelers.  They were great.  They told me the ring was in perfect condition, the diamonds were very good and the gold was very high quality.

They said they would give me $700.00 for the ring, but they recommended that I sell the ring on consignment where I would probably get around $2,500 for it.  They gave me the name of a jeweler (xxxxx) down the street who sells jewelry on consignment and I decided to place the ring with them.

Kevin Jewelers obviously lied to me.  Im just glad I didnt fall for that sucker act.

Avoid them.

You Should Have Presented a $2500 Diamond!

AUTHOR: The SNITCH - ()

I brought in my $2500 Zales diamond ring and they told me they would only give me $100 for it. Hardly what I would call "top dollar" as advertised on their commercials! And they are a BBB Member? WHAT A JOKE THE BBB IS!

Kevin Jewelers obviously lied to me
- Obviously?  You seem very happy that you MAY get $2,500 for an $8,000 ring.  That seems a bit odd, especially when according to you another jewler stated "the ring was in perfect condition, the diamonds were very good and the gold was very high quality".

Anyways beyond the quality of the ring where did they rip you off?  They offered a price and you didn't agree with it, so you left.

I really hope you post when your ring actually sells and what you ended up getting for it.  After the consignment fees of course.
