Just received an email reminder that my "shopyourwayrewards" points were going to expire so I went to the website where all of the K-mart brands are advertised at the top of the page. This was the link they included in my reminder. I was going to palce an order for a tent fan from "their website" that is the shopyourway website.

I got all the way through the order to the point of paying for it and clicked on "redeem my points" and got a error message stating my purchase was not elligible. I clicked on "why" for and explanation and one of the reasons given that could possibly be the cause of this was that the product was not a Kmart or Sears item. I thought surely this was wrong as I was ordering it off of their website that they gave in the email.

I then looked at the small print in the "cart" and noticed under the item that it said " sold by shopping warehouse". I was never directed to a third party site as the "exclusions" or "terms and conditions" state would cause my points to be ineligible. So the points I have that will expire on 12-24-12 are useless to me. I followed their "rules" and expected this to be from k-mart or Sears as they both sell camping supplies. This was not the case and is quite a scam!!

I wonder how many others they have ripped off with this? This is basically bait and switch and I hope to find others this has happened to so that we can take action against them. I will be posting my experience on social networking sites as well.
