I received a bumper and bracket kit for a 1965 mustang. While assembling the brackets to the bumper I noticed the holes in the brackets did not exactly match up with those in the bumper. I was able to get the bolts in the holes and get the washers and nuts started. I proceeded to tighten the nuts. After assembly I noticed the bumper was bent around the two bracket areas. This was due to the holes not matching up exactly.

I called Laurel Mountain Mustang and talked to Jason. I also emailed him pictures or the deformed bumper. He said there was not a problem and if the bumper was bent that I did it. He blamed me for parts that did not fit. Laurel Mountain Mustang has no quality concerns or control for the parts they sell even if they are made in Taiwan. They have no customer service and should not be considered car enthusiasts.

I have purchased many replacement parts for classic cars from many honest and knowledgeable companies. Laurel Mountain Mustang is not one though.

Hot Rod and classic car builders stay away from Laurel Mountain Mustang. They don't care about quality or you as a customer. They just want to steal your money and give you as many junk parts as they can.

#1 UPDATE Employee

Improper installation leads to damaged parts.

AUTHOR: Laurel Mountain Mustang - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, May 07, 2009

Customer purchased rear bumper, brackets, and mounting hardware for a 1966 Mustang. Classic Mustangs have special wave washers that go between the rear bumper and the mounting bracket to space the bracket away from the bumper a little bit. This keeps the bumper from warping when the mounting bolts are tightened during installation. Customer did not put the wave washers between the bumper and the bracket and then he tightened the bolts down so much that he bent the bumper in the process. When he called I went into our warehouse and got the parts out and put them together here myself to be sure that everything can be used together, which they can. This customer demanded that we send him a whole new kit at no cost because he did not know how to assemble the parts correctly. My name is Jason and I am the person that he talked to on the phone, if anyone has any questions about this feel free to contact me toll free at 1-888-925-7669 and just ask for Jason.
