Some LED emergency lights were ordered for an EMT vehicle. The wrong items were received and sent back to the vendor via USPS with a delivery confirmation requested.  I personally contacted this vendor and was told a credit would be issued.  After several days, nothing happened.  I called again.  After requested order information, items detail and credit card numbers, I was told the items had been received and it would take 2 weeks to issue.  We received delivery confirmation from the USPS.  After waiting some time to receive the credit, we requested our bank to deny the funds to this vendor.  Despite verbally acknowledging receipt of the return and confirmation from the USPS, the vendor wrote a reply to the bank saying the returned items were not received.  The USPS is now launching a mail fraud investigation.  I decided to call directly once more and pursue a polite request for the outstanding credit.  I was asked if I had a confirmation number and was asked to be placed on hold before providing the number.  When the line was reanswered, it immediately disconnected.  I tried calling again on a different line and was immediately hung up on before any greeting on the phone.  Repeated calls went directly into a voice mail system and were never answered.  Reviewing the numerous notes online clearly demonstrates ongoing fraudulent business practices and yet the fact that this guy continues to operate is criminal.
