Lennox The Lennox Signature Collection Series 21 Seer AC/Heat Pump has failed 34 times with the same failure. Richardson Texas

I am a Lennox customer who has reached his end. Since the day this system was installed brand new, I have suffered through the same failure with my $16,000 Lennox Signature Collection Series 21 Seer AC/Heat Pump. It has failed 34 times with the same failure. I have tried 2 certified Lennox repair companies (Aire Serv of Fort Worth and Texas Air Doctors – a Dave Lennox Premier Dealer) AND I have had Lennox tech support engaged for over a year. It continues to fail.

The failure only occurs only in AC mode. It never fails during the winter months in heater mode. When it fails, the AC will quit cooling and start warming the house. Most of the time, I turn the unit off and wait an hour. It starts working again when I re-start it. I have had repairmen out here when it was failing, but they could find nothing. You can see this means that I have to constantly monitor my AC. When I leave the house or travel, much of my time is spent trying to connect with the thermostat to see if it is failing. Unfortunately, this past Saturday I did not check my AC app when we were out for the day, and when we returned it had run for around 12 straight hours and heated the house to 81 degrees. It was set for 74 degrees. Is that what Lennox expects from their customers? 24x7 monitoring while they are trying to live a normal life?

They have replaced the thermostat, the outdoor motherboard, the wiring and other parts, but that has done nothing to help. If you can’t find the specific part number that is failing, THEN REPLACE THE WHOLE SYSTEM. After 34 failures, this is not an unreasonable request. We are approaching the summer months when my life is absolutely miserable as I have to worry with my AC EVERY DAY, 24x7.

Believe me, I am very upset about this. Enough is enough and I have reached my end. I am a senior citizen and a veteran, and I don’t deserve this Lennox mess. Lennox replace this Lennox lemon and pay Texas Air Doctors for the installation. The original service company,  Aire Serv of Ft. Worth, is absolutely terrible and could not handle the installation.
