I live in Maryland and I came across a decent deal for a 2007 Lexus GS350 in Manhantan. I bought the vehicle from Lexus of Manhantan, a reputable Lexus dealer. Recently I took the car to a body shop for a minor bumper scratch. At the body shop I was told that the paint to my car does not match all around. They pointed out to me that the passenger side has patches of paint. Furthermore, that the driver side door and the rear door paint does not match. In addition to that, the trunk and the bumper does not match. I felt so blind for not have noticing this when I bought the car. I work nights and I am a night owl, so I hardly ever see my car during the day. The workers at the body shop have eyes trained to detect these types of defects. So, you know I called Lexus of Manhantan to report this horrible discovery. The manager on the phone was very unsympathetic to my claim and could care anything less. She told me I will have to drive all the way back to Manhantan for them to even take a look at the car. I asked her if I can take the vehicle to any Lexus dealership in Maryland. I know it's going to cost me at least $100 round trip to make it to New York, couting gas and tolls. She stood firm that I will have to bring the car to Manhantan. So I called Lexus headquarters to see if they can communicate with a Lexus dealership in Maryland to assess the car. After a long awaited period, I finally got a response from the headquarters. They told me its my fault I didn't notice the paint when I bought the car. I was shocked. I paid over 30,000 for a LEXUS from a LEXUS dealership and having to go through this is a nightmare!

the 9 minute 34 second video on the web? I believe that the 4 people who were killed in that crash were in a Lexus vehicle.
If you haven't watched it, make sure to do so before you buy a Lexus or a Toyota vehicle, okay?
Good luck to you.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!

You bought a used car from a Lexus dealer. Whenever you buy a used car, it's up to you to verify that it is in acceptable condition. If you're not a mechanic, it is also wise to take it to one you trust for an inspection. You accepted the condition when you bought it and signed the contract. Your sales contract probably does not have a clause that you can bring it back in the future if you later decide that it is not in acceptable condition. Bottom line, when you're going to spend $30K on a car, you really should verify that you're getting what you expect. Used car sales contracts never allow for "do overs".
