 I signed up for a $3.96 14 days membership for livecareer and as many I was ripped off. I just found iut I was charged $34+ on a monthly membership I never renewed. I contacted this website via chat and the person who was "helping" me was very rude and refused to refund me. And now they want me to continue using their services when I really don't need them.

Thanks for your comments.

We are very clear that when you subscribe there is an auto-renewing feature for which you can cancel anytime and if you don’t cancel your subscription, we will bill you at the monthly rate of $34.95. We state this feature on your payment confirmation page and again give you this information when we send you your payment confirmation to the e-mail address that you use when you signed up.

We apologize if you were not able to get the best customer service experience.  We try to ensure that all our subscribers have the most well trained, efficient and courteous representatives with which to talk. By your e-mail, we’re not sure whether you cancelled your subscription, or not.  If not, then please call our customer service number at 1-888-816-0576, 17 hours a day, 7 days a week; or  by e-mail at customerservice@livecareer.com,.  We also have the self-cancellation option, where you simply go to the website, click onto the “My Account” section and you will see the section “To Cancel”.
