Everybody says how great Logitech support is / was for them, so I went into this with a positive attitude. I have a Logitech gaming mouse that no longer right clicks, so I called their support number, and got hung up on instead of transferred the first time.  No big deal.  I called back again, and after about 15 minutes I finally got a support rep named Steve.

Steve informed me that they no longer made the G5, but since it was still under warranty, I would be getting a different model (G500.)  Steve was helpful and informative of the process, and I had no problems with him.  In fact, I thought Logitech was living up to its reputation that I heard of.

That was until a week went by, and I didn't receive any kind of communication, or my product for that matter.

I called again, and was told that "something weird had gone on with my claim" and I should receive a tracking number sometime this week.  The replacement hadn't even shipped.  It wouldn't have been so bad had I been given a call or e-mail notification about something happening with my warranty replacement, but I haven't.

So now I don't know if I will go another week without a tracking number, or if the issue is even resolved, but this is hardly the "legendary support"  that I had such high hopes for.

If something is wrong with a claim on your end, you should at least contact the consumer and give them a heads up.  Had I known it was going to take 2+ weeks, probably longer since I'm not  even getting a tracking number until this week, I would have just gone out and purchased another mouse.

Regardless, the products are awesome, but the warranty service has been lackluster for me so far.  It's a shame really, I was looking into receiving great product support in a time when support is virtually non-existent across the board.

I'll update this if/when I actually get the product.  If they provide any excellent help along the way I will be fair and update that too.

Hardly the "we'll get you a replacement in a few days" story most people give you about them.
