Lucille Roberts mistreated and ripped off New York New York

I have a 2 year membership to Lucille Roberts which expires in October. I called them to try to cancel since I've since gotten pregnant and have moved out to Long Island. I was told when pregnanct that they don't cancel memberships-they only freeze them.

When I advised them that I moved and can no longer get to a Lucille Roberts by me they said if I'm within a 25 mile radius I can not cancel my membership. I explained to them that I don't have a drivers license so I have absolutely no way of getting to the closest gym which is not so close-I'd have to go on 3 highways to get to it! I was then advised I could cancel if I'd pay $400 which is more than what I have left on my membership in the first place

I understand there are rules etc but I also feel in extenuating circumstances these rules can be adjusted. Their objective is to take your money without working with you and finding a middle ground to leave the customer happy. If I can't get to the gym they could let me go for the last 9 months of this membership-especially considering medically I can't go too due to my pregnancy.

To make matters worse the supervisor I spoke to was HORRIBLE. She would not let me speak and kept on cutting me off. I honestly don't believe she was really a supervisor since her Customer Service skills were non-existent

I will never join Lucille Roberts ever again and recommend the same to all those who read this. They have poor Customer Service skills and their only goal is to take your money without working with you.
