When me and my ex wife separated I had never imagined just how brutal Macomb County friend of the court could be. As a father in Macomb County you are guaranteed to pay child support. Without even asking Macomb County just assumed my wife would have our son and I would pay. Yes I did have a great lawyer and even they said I have no chance in Macomb county. So seeing as how I pretty much had no chance of custody me and my lawyers were faced with the "standard" visitation schedule. They prepared their best for what was to come, though I could not have imagined things to be this bad...
My exwife used the system so bad, I had to transfer jobs to another company that was out of the Country just to make ends meat.
At that time she moved back home, no rent, no bills. She did have a great job though working for the big three making double what I make and sum. While I was living in the poorest area of the County barely being able to feed myself.
Long story short I had to move out of the country to survive, and when I did move all she cared about was the money. Not our son, that bothered me the most. Now going on 8 years old, he desperately wants to live with me. I keep telling him when your older son, but he pushs it. He is not happy where he is and there is nothing I can do. If there is let me know please.
Some might say I am a dead beat dad, but I am not. The truth is Macomb Friend of the Court is an outdated system that allows mothers to use the system to their advantage. And has become a cash cow for the county, forcing great parents into dire financial hardships. 50/50 parenting laws need to be adopted here, so that both sets of parents can raise there children together. Sadly though until that day comes more and more "would be great" dads will not even have the chance thanks to Macomb Friend of the Court. The system is long over due for an overhaul to many children and parents are losing out.........

I agree with you and I am a woman. I also think that cps is wrong they need to change there systems and quit tearing families that don't need to be tore apart and start doing better investigating and also have a couple opinions because if a worker decides they don't like you they can tear your whole life apart it is happening to me and I am trying to figure out who can put a stop to it!!!!!!!!HELP

This sounds like the same county as another report I am following. The ex-husband is pissed. I blame this BS on Granholm as well like at least two other authors did. She can not be blind as to how many reports are made about this ONE county alone. You would think that being a woman she would try even harder to make some sort of equality statement between men and women, yet she does nothing.
The referees, judges and case workers take an oath to try and make both sides of the single parents homes equal. Clearly, they don't take that oath very serious.
As for you Granholm, I hope they run you across that Ambassador bridge next year and make you stay there.
