Around 3-19-2013, Madisons Who's who, sold me a Starter Package Marketing Scam for $99.00. When I discoved their own web sight wasn't up; I knew they couldn't Market my sight. I started checking the complaints on the compay with the b.b.b. and found simulair complaints on rip off riports also. I contacted my Credit Union and got the payment to Madison stopped; talked with as many represenatives from the company as I could stand. I thought I had made it clear I wanted nothing to do with them.If they didn't get paid, and we're told I cancelled why should I worry about a dead account?.
Today 6-3-2013, while on Vacation, I checked on my account to find a fradulent charge of $19.95 for Chat Services now, from Madisons Whos who. I called my Credit Union first to see if they could again stop the charge? They could yet would have to stop my card also; not on my vacation thanks, no thanks. Therefore I called Madisions customer service which seems to be who you can get through to. I've heard children in the back ground on previous calls. I was no happy yet knew the person's voice and informed her, in march you and I discussed closing my account. If I was returned my funds for membership, all other services related should have stopped also. Since I did not authorize these Illegal charges these issue become fraud and I do intend to contact the Attorney General. I was informed my Card would be credited in 2 to 5 days. I have filed with the Better Business Bureau,My vacation won't extend past the 60 days to file with the credit union.
The company had no intention to service me and get my rating to top ten in Goggle. They are an excuse factory, with an excuse, not results each time they call.

Theodore,
You became a One Year Member on March 19, 2013 for $99.00. On March 21, 2013 you were mailed a Welcome Package including all of your membership information, including log-in and a page clearly outlining what the $19.95 charge was for. The website is fully functional and you were listed as a member and provided everything you were told you would. You DID NOT call any time in March in regards to your alleged cancellation. The first time you reached out to us was on June 3rd, to inquire about the $19.95 charge. You NEVER called to inform us that you had canceled your membership via your credit union. On our end your membership was active and after 60 days you were charged the $19.95 fee.
"Therefore I called Madisions customer service which seems to be who you can get through to"
Well we are a company, and as most companies operate, you speak to Customer Service which then transfers you to the appropriate party. I had the pleasure of being the Customer Service rep. you spoke to, and not only can I assure you we have never spoken before, but there were also no "children in the back ground" and your gross exaggerations of the ONE phone call you made are simply ridiculous. Stating that you are on "vacation", which never even came up when you had called in, is irrelevant and just further proves your need to exaggerate a situation that could have been avoided with simple honesty.
A simple call to cancel your membership would have been sufficient, as then all parties involved would be aware of your cancelation. Neither you nor your credit union ever alerted us of anything. With that being said, as soon as you called on June 3rd we canceled the $19.95 fee and refunded it without question. Now that we have been notified of your issues we have deactivated your profile and the process for cancelation has been completed.
Regards,
Customer Service
