Marquis Properties, LLC Chad Deucher Sold a rental property they did not own or have title to Orem Utah

In June 2013 we attended an educational symposium held in Las vegas, NV.  At this event my (ex)husband and I purchased a property as a rental investment.  It turns out that this property was not theirs to sell and when I questioned it, they sent me reassurances that all was well and basically ran interference between me and the property management company.  This past November the management company got suspicious and notified me that I did not own this property.  I found out who owned it and called their management company to verify that this was correct.

I contacted Mr. Chad Deucher at Marquis Porperties in Orem, Utah.  He assured me that they would resolve this issue and sent me an agreement stating that they would reimburse me the investment amount plus lost rent, bank fees, misc. expenses and 6% interest.  After several texts, phone calls and emails over 7 months, they did nothing.  I filed a complaintwith the state of Missouri where the property is located and they advised me to file a complaint with the state of Utah because the fraud actually occured there.  I have filed a complaint with the state of Utah.  I have also hired an attorney who sent Marquis properties a demand letter which will be followed with a lawsuit if the formal complaints don't result in a resolution to this situation.  They amount owed to me is approaching $55,000.
