Again, I went to McDonald's. I ordered a Big and Tasty meal, with a coke with no ice. My drink had ice in it, and I immediately returned it. I watched her originally get my drink at the window fountain. When I returned it, she walked to the lobby fountain to get my drink. After we drove off, I found cheese melted to my damned sandwich, to the meat on one side and the tomato and lettuce on the other. That was a delight to scrape off.

If I had wanted cheese, I would have had to of paid .30 for it. I guess if I don't want it, they throw it in for free if it means making me miserable. I specifically said no ice, and no cheese when I ordered, because they try to sell you cheese every damned time. As if it was the greatest thing ever and you would be making a horrible mistake if you forgot to take advantage of your opportunity to have the rat droppings they call cheese.

Why the hell does that nasty piece of rubberized, coagulated, yellowish thing they call cheese cost .30? It's free on a fish filet, where it has no business. And the Big Mac. And, the price difference between a hamburger and a cheeseburger is NOT .30! It's .10 or .20. Why can't they get it together?

Their cheese is disgusting. At least I've found one way to take advantage of their penny pinching ripoffs. Instead of using those little annoying paper ketchup cups when I dine in, I grab a couple of drink lids and fill one of those suckers up with ketchup. No more having to grab ten little cups to get enough ketchup.

This was not the fault of McDonalds. This is yet another case of a consumer being wronged by a lazy, uncaring, non-listening slob of an employee. Putting cheese on there and putting ice in the drink proves she was not listening. And she didn't care enough to check the grill slip when assembling my order. That's why employees are treated the way they are, so don't whine about how wrong it is to talk down to them or speak illy of them. It is not corporate's fault, they can't come down there on a Saturday night and hold her hand to make sure she does her job. They can just fire her on Monday.

Holy Crap

AUTHOR: SmarterThanMost - (USA)

POSTED: Sunday, August 08, 2010

You actually took the time to write out a ripoff report against McDonald's?  Really?  Then you state that the issue was a bad employee, and not the organization.

Things are the same

AUTHOR: Laura - (USA)

POSTED: Sunday, July 11, 2010

Found this about the same McDonald's I go to all the time.  They still get things wrong, don't listen and are flat out rude to customers that try to get things right.  I can understand why some people get in arguments with them.  The staff sure isn't nice, and they don't back down if any mistakes are brought to their attention.

Some Contructive Criticism

AUTHOR: Booninator - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, June 08, 2009

The way I see this, and I do realize this is a long outdated thread but I will post for the benefit of future people, this is a clear cut case of a customer expecting way too much. I understand that you got your cheese when you didn't want it and the same goes for the ice. But that could have been fixed easily and without incident. No need to cause a scene, or come online and trash some place or some person in the hopes that they might read this and change their ways. These things happen. I see the poster as being the same type of person who runs a server or bartender to death because they feel like they are the only table in a restaurant. As a server myself, I feel a need to give the best quality of service possible. But this is ALWAYS within reason. When it affects other peoples' dining experience because you are being over-demanding of the server, you are going too far. Chances are you tip like sh** anyways.

Everyone please understand. 15% is a MINIMUM tip for proper service. the industry standard is now 18%. If the food was hot, you had your beverage full and the waitress didn't do anything bad. Anything below 15% of the total bill amount is an absolute disgrace. If you are leaving bad tips to people who are working hard trying to make money, I hope you wreck your car on the way home, you don't deserve to eat in a restaurant.

And for God's sake. Stop eating at McDonald's. Those people have a hard enough time at work without you adding to it. They come home every night with their clothes smelling like grease, and having dealt with overweight Americans much like yourself (A guess about the author). They do this all for very low wages. For whatever reason they are doing it; whether they are uneducated, cannot find other work, or use it as a second job. You are not better than them and they do not deserve to be treated with disrespect no matter what simple mistake they make.

Holy Crap

AUTHOR: Lyzzie - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, March 06, 2009

This is the lamest thread I have read on this site...

I agree that Bryce or whatever we are suppose to call him needs anger managment, or something...

People don't realize that working fast food is actually alot harder then you would think. Just because you don't need a college degree to get hired at McDonalds, does not mean the people working there are not just that, People!!! We have to deal with people complaining about the most ridiculous things ever. If we run out of something, we are to blame, regardless of the fact that we are not necessarily the ones doing the order. If Corporate stops selling an item, it is by all means the team member who gets blamed.

Seriously, people need to chill out and realize that most of the people who are working at these places are just people trying to make a honest living. Sorry that you are so much "better" then all of us just trying to make ends meet!!!

Not in this case, Jay

AUTHOR: Bryce - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, September 03, 2008

I had a boss that couldn't stop raving about 'my pretty teeth.' And I have no 'sweat' clothing. My car idles much lower than most cars out there. There is no noticeable noise coming from it. If anything the problem exists in the speaker system at the store. If the employees didn't need their nickel and dime raises every few months, perhaps the store could afford to give the customer a better experience. And that burger costs a lot more than 1.99. It's a major investment with the prices they charge to eat there. Funny, now isn't it, that IF I HAD WANTED CHEESE THEY WOULD CHARGE ME THIRTY CENTS for it. Yet they gave me cheese and DID NOT CHARGE. So there is the proof that they heard my order correctly, yet chose not to pay attention while assembling it. So there you have it.

This is really quite sad. The amount of time and effort in all of these responses shows that this was not just in "the heat of the moment" complaint. I am guessing it would have taken less time to have spoken to the manager about the mix-up than all of the time it took to write these rediculous claims and remarks. To openly admit that you are rude and mean to employees (many of which are young high school children) is laughable. The impression I get is one including greasy hair, overly large sweat clothes, and a lack of teeth.

I noticed that you implied that you were in the drive through of the mcdonalds, and that you stated up front "no cheese" here is a thought......

years ago I worked in fast food during my HS years. While the headset quality is actually quite good, it is not always the easiest to hear the orders. Do you have a loud vehicle?? If so - that has a HUGE impact on the quality of what someone will hear on the other end. Try turning off your car?

Now, if your car is indeed on the louder end (which might i point out, that this is not the employees fault and there is nothing the "pathetic employee" can do about it)...if it is on the louder end, when you stated "no cheese" the employee may have misunderstood and thought that you were specifying you WANTED cheese.

I cant say if this is true or not. But its a possability. One that could have been resolved if you acted like a mature adult and addressed someone in the store. You may have even *GASP* gotten an apology from this young employee who did not intend to upset you to the point of insanity.

The point of my response is that this is just stupid. It is a freaking piece of cheese!!!! and a little bit of ice!!!!!!!!! wow. those are the problems in your life??? Grow up, lay off the fast food, lose a couple pounds and maybe take up running to blow of some steam.

Just a thought

POSTED: Wednesday, August 13, 2008

The worse excuse for a rip off report I have ever read. This is what is wrong with the American public. No personal responsibility whatsoever. Ok. They messed up your food. Most of the employees make less than $6.00 or $7.00 bucks an hour to serve people that are too lazy to serve themselves and you want to complain about the quality of a $1.99 burger or however much it costs. How about this. Go to your local grocery, buy a pack of ground meat, and serve yourself! It's cheaper, less aggravating, and more of a reason for us not to hear your whining anymore.

At the McD's I used to work at, if you asked for no ice you received a cup that was not full - no freebies, you got the same amount of tonic someone who had ice would get. I'll bet that would have set you off big time.

You are a very funny person. I will keep my eye out for more of your complaints. (I especially like how you ripped into one of the few people who were taking your side - that's classic!).

You clearly do not understand that this girl was not completely at fault. How do you know she was the one who had taken your order? How do you know she was the one not listening? And how in the world do you assume she was ALSO the one to ASSEMBLE your order when she was busy in DRIVE-THRU at the time!

It is very disrespectful of you to assume she was at fault for all of the inaccuracies. True, it is inconvenient and annoying that your order got messed up. That shouldn't have happened in the first place. But why are you blaming the girl who simply handed out your order for all the mistakes, even the GRILL mistakes! This happens all the time...poor workers who usually are not at fault HAVE to take the blame for the grill and the drive thru and keep smiling while customers yell at them and swear at them, sometimes even throw stuff at them. We have had employees break down in tears because of this. Be considerate, talk to a manager. You may not understand everything about how Mcdonalds works but do NOT under any circumstances take your anger out on someone who does not deserve that.

People Like You

AUTHOR: Jeffx - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, July 03, 2008

Are the reason why I dislike most people. Oh my God they put ice in your drink! If this is continually screwed up do what I do don't go back or better yet go inside. Is it really too hard to get out of your car and walk inside. No its not and you might actually be burning some weight that you're about to put on by eating that crap.

Second the cheese was an accident. It happens from time to time. I've ate at several fast-food places where I got something on my sandwich that I said I didn't want on it. You know what I do? I go up to the counter and tell them the mistake and request a new one. If it happens a few times I don't go back or at the very least don't go back for a few months.

Also about asking for the cheese they are supposed to do that. If they don't they get into trouble. In my time at the company I also saw where people forgot to ask and the customer came in screaming about the cheese being not on their food. So next time you get on your high horse remember the world doesn't revolve around you.

Betty, you wrote:

"McDonald's is so cheap with the ketchup now. If you don't ask for it they don't give it, even then they don't give you enough. I actually bring my own ketchup from home now so I have enough ketchup."

How do you know how it is if you don't eat there?

"I did not say that I bring in a bottle of ketchup. I always have ketchup packets from other fast food places that are not so cheap."

Where are you bringing these packets to if you don't eat there?

"Turn me over and stick a fork in me. I am done with you. This is the last time I will remark to your insane comments."

Yet you post another comment.

"And I no longer go to McDonald's anyways."

So you say, even though that is contrary to all of your prior comments.

You evidently are a liar. Which is it? Are you bringing in your own packets, or are you not even eating at McDonald's anymore? You can't have it both ways. And you promised to be done with me, yet you post
again in response. I was so right. You are a liar. And I'm not the one rambling on about the ketchup, it was you that brought it up. My complaint is with the rubberized cheese that would keep a dog backed up for a week. I hope your family calls an intervention real soon, for your sake and ours.

Have you no shame or sense of local health ordinances? You disgust me.
Let me guess. You carry it in your purse, don't you? I saw on the TV News where a woman's purse was one of the most germ laden environments in our society. How awful for the fellow patrons of your local McDonalds. Now they have to worry about the STORE AND YOU.
You may think I waste the stuff, putting it in a drink lid, but at least I throw that out when I'm done instead of starting my own petri dish of life threatening bacteria to bring back later.
I wish it were a BOTTLE INSTEAD OF PACKETS YOU WERE BRINGING IN. Those packets you pull out of the germ factory you call a purse, ugh(!), you rub all over those and grip those and smear them across the table and really spread that crap all over. All because you can't stand up to the real culprit, McDonald's? C'mon, even if you had to ask they WOULD finally give you enough ketchup. Just say: "I WANT TEN PACKETS!" You're already foolin' around with packets, it's not like your real gripe is not having a damned cup.

You bring in outside condiments? You think it's alright to swipe condiments from other places to use later? I did not say that I bring in a bottle of ketchup. I always have ketchup packets from other fast food places that are not so cheap.

Ketchup is alive and well

AUTHOR: Bryce - (U.S.A.)

They still have ketchup pumps here. If they wanted to be economical, they would give me a container of decent size to use instead olf using ten little ones. I will have my ketchup. Oh, and better stick to the drive thru. The Health Inspector would not like to see you tote in a bottle of ketchup from god knows where.

Ketchup is gone now.

AUTHOR: Betty - (U.S.A.)

Your filling those drinks lids up with ketchup is the reason why there is no ketchup dispensers to allow you to get your own ketchup today. McDonald's is so cheap with the ketchup now. If you don't ask for it they don't give it, even then they don't give you enough. I actually bring my own ketchup from home now so I have enough ketchup.

How?

AUTHOR: Bryce - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, April 10, 2008

How does it take thirty seconds? I have to park my car, get in to the store, get someone to pay attention to me, probably have to fight through the line and then wait. All after explaining this to the goofus they've made a night manager and has attitude problems because he's on a power trip and the employees under him have no respect for him? Get out of the store, get back in the car, etc., HOW THE HELL DOES THAT TAKE 30 SECONDS?
And they can make those drinks by hand right in the window, too. I've seen them. I order without ice and it always shorts my cup. They have to top it off, manually. They've handed me enough ice filled cups that I've had the pleasure of seeing my personal drink made through the window plenty of times after handing it back to them.
Wendy's does love me, Robert. I've not had a problem there yet. Too bad I don't want to eat there for lunch everyday, or else I would, with the great service they give me.
And we all know how hard up McDonald's is for profits. I bet they make no more than 3 cents a customer each visit. Don't feed me that crap. They're price-gouging over that cheese, and that's all there is to it.

Drinks and Cheese?

AUTHOR: Mcmanager - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, April 10, 2008

In many mcDonalds, we are swicthing to and autommated drink station in the drive. The idea is to make it faster by having a machine make the drinks, how ever if the drink is not rung up right the machine won't make it right. Most people dont even notice this machine and assume it's still being done by hand. As far as her going to lobby, it may have been faster for her to go to lobby that to type in the special order into the machine and have to wait as she removed other drinks in the way. That way you got your order faster.

And returning your sandwhich and speaking with a manager takes seconds, perhaps adding an extra 30 seconds to your visit. In my store when a manger calls back a sandwhich it's moved to the front of the line so the problem can be corrected as soon as possible.

If you're so testy about little things, then maybe you cook your own d**n burger and make your own d**n drink, instead of being a whiner. You started of by saying you again went to McDonald's which implies you had problems in the past. If you don't like it, DON'T GO THERE!

Bryce and her continuing lessons on life...

AUTHOR: Robert - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, March 04, 2008

Stop the presses!!! The World had come to an end. SOMEONE put ice in Bryce's coke!!! and my Lord, they put nasty piece of rubberized, coagulated, yellowish thing they call cheese on her hamburger that leaves her feeling bloated and heavy.

First, they make you pull up out of the way of other customers, then the don't have sweet and sour sauce for your whiny kids McNuggets so you told her my meal was ruined (because of no sweet and sour sauce??) because you had to trekked to Wendy's to get my passenger's meal. (I hope you bundled up for your trek you know those Indiana winters!

If you have so much dislike for McDonald's why do you keep eating there? Unlike you, I don't go to McDonalds. I don't like their food and I have to put up with people like you. Maybe you should just go to Wendy's for ALL your meals. I'm sure they love you over there (or did they kick your butt to the curb because they didn't want to put up with your nonsense?)

Why don't you do everyone a favor: take your whiny kids, your filthy, ashy, pennies (spilled, dried, soda can be expected) go home and make them a decent lunch and use your own sweet and sour sauce. Your attitude and actions are not doing anybody any favors.

The question again is, why do you keep going back if we're so horrible? It's wrong to talk down to any human being, regardless of what their job is. I hope you never show up at my restaurant because we will not tolerate your verbal abuse.

A few tips on avoiding this next time.

AUTHOR: Jon - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, March 02, 2008

First, on behalf of McDonald's Corporation, let me apologize for your inconvenience.
I would like to address your question on the Big N' Tasty cheese price. This price is marked-up higher due to low profits on each Big N' Tasty product unit sold. This must be done by the Owner/Operator (franchisee) of McDonald's in order to maintain "the bottom line". Profits will PLUMMET if items like this are not marked-up at this level.
As for them putting cheese on, you should have spoken to a manager over the situation. Normally they will be VERY understanding in cases such as yours.
Once again, I apologize for the inconvenience caused by this incident.
