To whom it may concern,
I am appalled by the manner in which your employees have disregarded the Federal Laws in place since 1964 regarding fair and equal employment opportunities for people of all races, sex, religion and disabilities.
Not only have your employees violated these laws at the time I attempted to submit my application for employment (which was not excepted because I am disabled), but also at the corporate level by an employee stating that if I am disabled I have no business working anyway.
I would appreciate your full cooperation with all the government agencies that are now involved in this matter and their investigation, including all other complaints past and present in which McDonald's Franchise and/or corporate has conducted themselves inappropriately concerning peoples with disabilities on behalf of myself and all others which now have been notified about this incident through numerous organizations for the disabled via the Internet.
I will allow you to say what ever you would like at this time and then there will no further communications from me personally.
Please note that you will be contacted shortly by an agent from one or more of the government agencies regarding discrimination against the disabled according to the Social Security and Human Civil Rights Commission agencies policies and the appropriate legal actions and/or prosecutions with the individuals and/or corporate bodies involved.

Fail troll is fail.
You seem to have some kind of fixed notion of what a "disability" is. Just FYI, a disability can be something as mild as simply being diabetic and needing to jack yourself with insulin 3x a day.
Sure, it can go up to severe mental or physical deformations or abnormalities, but do you REALLY think that McD's would hire someone in a wheelchair or would hire someone who would perhaps be a hazard to customers or other workers? Probably not, and it wouldn't be discrimination. If a person, any person, isn't suited for the demands of a job, a company doesn't have to hire them, and that's just a fact of life.
Thing about people like you though, is that you're likely the type who thinks of themselves as a beautiful, wonderful entity around whom the universe revolves, and as long as your needs, wants and desires are met, everyone else can go to Hell.
Funny thing though, every time Stephen Hawking breathes, he's got you in intellectual checkmate. No exceptions.
It doesn't take much to get on the disabled roster, and it can happen in an instant... A quick car accident, a fall off a ladder... Hell, if you wanna be a tough guy, just start drinking yourself to death. Mucho macho!
Of course, you've already had a horrifying disability heaped on you and you don't even know it: You were born.
Enjoy your fail.

The disabled can work too.

I happen to be a disabled Veteran USMC. My shoulder was destroyed while serving. I have limited mobility but I can still flip a burger. To the people posting on these message boards with hate speech against the disabled: the gentleman who started this posting never said what his disability is. Also How do you know thatall the disabled can do is siton thier butts eating with food from your tax money. Believe it or not the disabled even have trouble to get assistance. Thanks to all the people who have abused the system. I'm not pointing fingers but I have worked a register a time or two, and the people coming through my line at about 580lbs covered in gold chains having two gold teeth and keys to a Benz handing me food stamps or swiping the EFT card really piss me off. So if you want to go after someone how about them? I hope nothing ever happens to you where your child has to ask you, "Daddy what happen to your face?".

The person who wrote that rude comment could get injured and he himself could take thirty extra seconds to walk from spot a to spot b because he has only one good leg.

Karma will find you

The guy with the evil thing to say about the handicapped is obviously one of these jokesters who didn't get enough hugs when he was a kid so he goes to message boards and decides to try to get a rise out of people. If you are a father I feel sorry for your kid since you are his role modle. Do not have anymore kids because one of them might be born with a disability, then you can think of the hate you put on here, karma will find you.

The disabled ruin my experience too

I think they're going to do something someday, you know go on a shooting spree because of all the years of torment and abuse. It's time for them to stay home and collect disability or whatever else they want. If they don't, then McDonald's or whatever other employer will through tax credits for hiring these people. I'd rather pay them to stay home instead of paying the rich companies to hire them. Then I wouldn't have to be around them or look at them or suffer from their lack of ability to be clean and sanitary or competent. We would all do better paying them directly instead of them getting about half their gov't check through McDonald's and having to work for it. And we pay out the a*s in credits to McDonald's for them to hire these types. If the disabled got more money by not working at least they would spend it all and help the economy because they wouldn't be able to hoarde it because their disability would get cut off. McDonald's instead takes the tax credit, forwards the profits to the investors where all the rich hags just hoarde all the money and don't spend anything to help the economy. And that is how it is.

The disabled people are taking away jobs from abled bodied people. They are the ones being discriminated against because of laws.

McDonalds does hire handicapped
AUTHOR: Carolynd1 - (U.S.A.)

I was a manager at McDonalds in NJ. We hired several handicapped employee's. One was a woman with only one arm. She ran fries and did a great job.
I don't think it's the company that has the problem, but just one hiring employee.

One day you might grow up and actually feel really stupid for all the evil things you say and do to people.
One day you may have to answer to a higher power, what are you going to say?
Look up the word sociopath and its traits. Its you.

Listen pal, in your own words you call yourself "Disabled" which means you aren't able to do anything except sit on your fat a*s and watch Jerry Springer while eating junk food purchased with MY tax money (Food Stamps) and collecting WELFARE, SECTION 8 and Disability. If you really want to work, go join a carnival or a travelling freak show. There is NO WAY I want to go into McDonalds and have to hear my son say, "Daddy, what happened to that man's face?" - It makes it difficult to enjoy my french fries after you drooled on them. Or if I have to wait an extra 30 seconds while you take your sweet time because you only have one good leg. You have many options available to you OTHER than ruining my dining experience.

My McDonalds does exercise fair hiring practice
AUTHOR: Suzie - (U.S.A.)
SUBMITTED: Thursday, May 28, 2009
My McDonalds in Springfield VA does exercise fair hiring of disabled employees. I'm sitting in their dining area at this writing and count at least six disabled workers. I think, unfortunately, not all McDonalds are as "people friendly" as those in this Metropolitan area of Northern VA/Washington DC. I would suggest complaints be filed directly with McDonalds.com. To bad ALL McDonalds can't be like the ones in our N. VA area.

How do you know?

How do you know within a reasonable doubt that you were denied employment based on your disability? What exactly did they say to you to come to this conclusion?
While it is unlawful to discriminate against potential workers based on disability, that does not mean that they HAVE to give you a job because you are disabled. MANY other factors come into play -- basic job qualifications, attitude, personality, scheduling availability, motivation, etc. If another person meets the "big picture" more so than you, they will get the job, regardless of physical handicap.

handicapped
AUTHOR: Paul - (U.S.A.)

Hate to say this, while I hope your case progresss for you.
Reality is, in some jobs, its not realistic to hire a physically disabled person, to work a position where they will be marginalized and unable to serve customers.
In those cases, its legally justifiable and proper to not hire certain kinds of disability.
If you are handicapped in such a way that you cannot get the food or drink or prepare it in a reasonably good timeperiod its totally appropraiate to not consider hiring you and its not discriminatory in that case.
However, if the position you applied for has no relevancy to being handicapped then you should puruse legal.
Unfortunately, in food service, its rare to be able to justify hiring certain kinds of disability.
Yes I see it, hiring a person who is able, but deformed... (ie; arms are wickedly deformed), but they are still able to perform.
But I have yet to see a 'wheelchair bound' person get hired...as the job requires serious mobility.
