If this company comes into your business to sign you up for merchant services run! They tell you they will beat competitor's prices. But - here's where you get taken: they come in and talk fast put your initials here, sign here, etc. Then you find out that you are tied into an equipment lease for 48 months, and THEN you have to buy the equipment at a minimum of 10% of the entire amount at the end of the lease, or continue with the monthly lease. Mind you, this does not include their insurance requirement of $10 monthly (that they aren't willing to waive even if you have business insurance). In my case it will end up costing me close to $4,480 for a piece of equipment that I could have gotten on E-bay for $400 or less.
They also do not include miscellaneous charges on their statements, and you find them when you get your bank statement. Who remembers that on "this day or that day" yearly, quarterly, etc. to enter that into your check account? It shouldn't be an "I forgot" moment when you get your bank statement. Put it on the freaking merchant statement. That I see and record as it comes in my mail.
Their customer service people never have the same story or explanation on anything.
Yes, I was stupid for letting them bamboozle me. But, if I can help someone else, I want to. Don't, don't, and did I say don't? do business with them.

Merchant Lynx Saleforce Instructed to Lie

After I had my horribble experience with Merchant Lynx Services I was solicited by their marketing a few years later to meet with a rep and sign up for their services again.. LOL.. nice record keeping they have. So I figured. .hey.. let's play ball and set up the appointment.. I showed the new Salesman named Peter... Strange.. my old salesman was also named Peter.. Peter Rhee to be exact.. Well My new salesman Peter claimed he could save me several hundred dollars from my current processor after looking at my statements. I asked him for a business card.. Didn't have any.. I then asked him his full name.. Wouldn't give it to me.. I asked to see his ID card for work or some type of Identification.. Never heard from him again after he walked out to the car he drives to go get it for me.... Conclusion... Merchant Lynx Serivices Saleforce most likely lies about their names because they know they are scumbags working for bigger scumbags... I wouldn't be shocked if the owner pigs of this company have strong government ties... Probably Barney Franks Boyfriend..

Merchant Lynx Response Says It All

Reading the responses from Roxanne just confirms the quality of the people they employ. This is an account rep who lacks proper use of grammar, spelling and in general the ability to converse effectively. Note: No capitalization, spelling: defently, sladerosity (what is that!?), and previosly. She also curses in one message and insults someone's intelligence and calls them a "codger." That is a true indicator of the lack of professionalism displayed.
You may believe that your company's procedures are honest, but I stand by the fact that I was not given the detailed information book at the time of signing which had the information about the inability to cancel before 48 months. At the bottom of the signature page it references a page and paragraph regarding this. After you left I realized I had nothing to put into my files. When the technician came to install the equipment I had to ask him to provide me with one. I was told this happened on a regular basis. Therefore, I signed a document stating I accepted this exclusion without having the information explained or given to me. I guess I have "a low IQ or am a codger." And, the explanation of everything was done at break neck speed; sign here, initial here, fast, fast, fast. Your head reels. Plus Roxanne got on the phone and made a pretend phone call to her supervisor asking him to waive the $200 set up fee because I would have to pay my current provider that to cancel. It was so obvious that he wasn't on the other line. So cheesy.
I don't care what you say about recouping the amount of money over 48 months that you would have spent on fees. I had a compliant piece of equipment for truncating, etc. My equipment was better than yours. Most merchant services provide you with equipment for free - and definitely (yes, this is how it is spelled) don't charge property tax on it yearly. When I went back to my old provider she showed me on paper in detail just how much I ended up paying in the amount of time I was with Merchant Lynx. I should have taken the time to hold off on signing to be able to compare each line item with the other.
We can go back and forth on this issue until we are all spent. In the end, with any supplier of this type be vigiliant and compare, check references, call the BBB, and TAKE YOUR TIME to make a decision. If the product and company are above board they will be willing to work with you on this.

wow! it is truly sad that merchants have been lied to so much that they actually believe all the lies they have been told. and then when an honest company comes along and tells the truth, nobody believes.sad. the truth is, that numbers dont lie. and evidently you are not smart enough or too busy not looking at my face, but elsewhere , and did not see where the total fees you did pay, exceeded the fees with my company and the lease amount combined. so therefore, if you are in business for yourself to make money, it was actually costing you more just for processing. which means that not only did i reduce the percentage you paid for processing, but i also upgraded the terminal that you had and protected you from lurking fraud. so you can call it a lease or s**t . it doesnt matter . but if you had been taking your business seriously, you would realize that by the time you paid whatever amount for that lease, you would have paid double or maybe triple that amount just to process with the previous company, and still be using that outdated, non pci compliant zon jr, and have nothing to show for it.
i am a fabulous salesperson, yes. and i am honest and do not tell lies to my merchants. if you are not blessed with an attentive mind, or an iq, or just plain ol cant concentrate on what i am telling you during our preset appointment because you are a codger, you should probably sell or close your business now before you go belly up or worse....

I have also had a similar experience with merchant Lynx ... In my case a pos named Peter Rhee completely gave us one contract and made his own changes after we had signed the contract. In my case dearest Roxanne.. our new bill with Merchant Lynx was 300$ per month more then with our old provider. We were told that our lease would cost us nothing because Merchant Lynx was giving us an even lower rate to cover any fees of the new equipment which we didn't even need... We had a contract with one rate and when we had merchant Lynx fax us their copy of the contract the rate was different. Peter Rhee no longer answered his phone.. We already owned our own compliant equipement and they day they came to install USED mismatched new terminals, they took our current dual com terminals... We made a police report and threatened to sue them on our equipment. After a few months they shipped us single com cheaper equipment. We then filed an affidavit of forgery on the contract because it wasn't the contract we had. . Their customer service was non existent.. They put us on collection.. I explained to the collection agency of our situation and referred them to the message complaint boards to see what a joke this company is. We never paid the leasing company... They are scum.. they know what is going on and try to settle for less.. then they threaten to sue you
PLEASE if you are stuck with MERCHANT LYNX file an afadavit of forgery and let them take you to collections if they lied about thier contract.. Why would you sign up with them to pay more then your previous contract..... It sure wasn't for customer service because that was a F'ing JOKE.too....

i am defently no stranger to karma. and i am sure of this as well, numbers dont lie. so no matter what slanderosity you are posting about me, the fact is, you were paying much more with the processor you were with previosly, remember? i ran your numbers right in front of you and explained how each transaction costs you way more than it should have, and you agreed. and due to your out dated terminal, i require you process through a updated, pci compliant one. not one that risks leaking valuable card holder information. furthermore, being as confident as you seem to be, posting slanderous remarks about myself, why is it you have not listed your own name as well?
have a great day,
senior acct. executive,

I forgot to add that I agreed to specifications in the Merchant Services Program Guide when I signed the merchant agreement. Guess what? I never received the guide until the equipment was installed and it was given to me. Again, stupid.
Take the agreement home and read it and then reread it. Don't get rushed by the salesperson. Don't forget what goes around, comes around. Think about that Roxanne.
