Bait and Switch.
08/14/13 at 7:08 EST Meritline sent me an email for a CD DVD Album, 520 Capacity CD / DVD Wallet (CD Holder Cases) in Black Color with Handle & Shoulder Strap for CD / DVD Media Storage, for $9.99 (regular price: $17.99 (Item#180-182-001) with free shipping.
08/14/13 at 7:46 EST when I placed my order the price reduced as the email advertised but during checkout I was charged $11.99. I canceled the order then tried again with the same results. I canceled the second attempt.

08/14/13 at 8:06 EST I emailed Meritline.com:

Per your email I tried to order the CD Album (Item#180-182-001) at $9.99 w/Code: MLCKF14ANL1. The email clearly said "FREE SHIPPING" above the the picture of the item but when I entered the information and code the discounted price was displayed but the free shipping check box was not there more than doubling the price. So I am unable to order the item for the price you promoted in your email.

08/14/13 at 5:59 EST I received an email from Meritline.com replied:

Dear Customer,
Sorry to inform you item is Currently Out Of Stock. Any further
questions please feel free to contact. Sorry for the inconvenience.

08/14/13 at 6:20 EST I emailed back to Meritline.com:

When I tried to order it, it was in stock, the discount was applied to my order but your shipping offer of free shipping did not work so I canceled the order.
Will Meritline honor the price and free shipping offered when it is back in stock since it was Meritline's error??
Thank you,
Gregg

08/14/13 at 7:00 EST I received an email from Meritline.com replied:

Dear Customer,
Please note Daily Deals only last within one business day. Sorry for the inconvenience.

8/14/13 at 7:15 EST I phoned Meritline.com. I was told there was an error in the web site but since I did not complete the order they would not honor the advertised price. I asked for a supervisor to call me back.

08/14/13 at 7:29 EST a supervisor called me back and told me they would not honor the email ad but would credit my account $5. When the itek returns to stock it will be at the regular ffull price of $17.99 with the standard shipping cost of $11.99 for a total price of $29.98, $19.99 higher than the $9.99 email ad price. Their offer of a $5 credit shorts me, the customer $14.99 short of the promised price, a clear case of Bait and Switch.
