Meritline.com Meritline ripoff misleading dishonest ripoff fraud business City Of Industry California

I placed an order for some DVD-R's on 4/16 and Meritline.com immediately charged my credit card for the full amount. I received an email that same day saying my product was shipped.

I waited for my product to arrive, because it did say SHIPPED, and their website said nothing about this product being Back Ordered.

I called them today to ask where my product was (they will not actually answer the phone, you will only get a recording, then 6 hours for call back) and they then told me it was back ordered, and further more, I should have known that because of the tracking number BO428.

The person on the phone was rude and arrogant, and argued with me for 10 minutes to the fact that I should have known it was on back order by the code they use. When I asked where my product was, she stated that it shipped today. I went to their website minutes later to find that the order was cancelled so obviously they lied again.

I was able to find the same product on 4 other websites, so in todays internet market place, how can any company piss off a customer by flat out lying?

Just one last thing to add. When a company takes your money knowing they do not have a product to sell, and they do not make the consumer aware of that fact, is that not credit card fraud?

1. Takes your money and does not let you know product is on back order like every other website out there.
2. It seems that they are always right and not the customer.
3. Flat out lied about product being shipped for 13 days and then on the phone as well.
4. Makes you wait until you call then to find out where your order is before they say they do not have it.
