MI Homes Terrible Construction Quality & Horrible Customer Care Orlando Florida

Built a home in June of 2016 in Orlando, FL. Purchased through MI Homes because of their claim of “building homes of outstanding quality & superior design”. This has proven to be a joke. Building quality on everything from electricity, to cabinetry, to flooring has been nothing but problematic. Customer service to get issues resolved has been slow to respond, ineffective and nonchalant. Husband and I have had to miss multiple days off of work throughout the year in order to meet contractors who still do not finish jobs and/or are not done correctly. Unfortunately this is not an insulated issue with most of our neighbors having similar problems with MI Homes. Even though issues have been reported since first month of occupancy, the customer care supervisor delivers a “oh-well” type of attitude and acts as though we should be grateful they are still working to get things fixed. Asked for his supervisor information and refused to provide it. Just as one example of the poor quality of home building and follow-up customer service, we paid for a security alarm throughout home that we found out shortly after closing was not even wired for electricity. After over a year, they still have NOT fixed it! MANY, MANY, MANY other issues! Would NEVER recommend MI to anyone. BUYER BEWARE!
