MI Homes Shoddy, Structurally- Unsound Homes for Sale tampa, Florida

I bought a new house from MI Homes in 2006 with a "30-year- warranty". Noticed cracks to foundation. Notified MI Homes. Took over 3 weeks to have anyone come out to investigate. They stayed less than 3 minutes ( I'm not kidding), just long enough to tell me that I, I , I was responsible for the structural problems. Why? Because I am supposed to paint my house every 3 years and that because I didn't, now water has seeped in and caused serious damage. My take? The housing boom in 2006 led to an incredible lack of pride in their product and a "spit 'em out" mentality. MI Homes cranked out sub-par houses and now, with a suffering economy and housing market( no clients), they want to turn their backs on the shoddiness left behind.  I don't care what they (rudely) say,  a 5-year-old house should not have structural problems ( unless it has been through devastating weather conditions, which it hasn't!) I am on a mission to warn evry potential home owner, whether new construction or a re-sale. Make sure MI Homes was not the builder!  PS- This is the most serious of all the problems with this house. I've also had water seep into a back door and damage flooring, exposed nails in the Master bedroom ceiling ( which I never complained about), and a loud creaking when you step on the 2nd floor in a large area near the staircase. Disgusting! They should be ashamed but no, that would entail money and remedying their mistakes.
